Job Description Job Summary The Children’s Home Network seeks Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join its innovative residential program providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in foster care. The children served by this program have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental delays and disorders while also experiencing the effects of complex trauma. CHN’s unique approach blends the delivery of ABA and mental health treatment services with other supports in the child’s residential setting to meet these complex needs. Coordinate with medical personnel to ensure the physical/ health needs of the child. · Prepares for and actively participates in bi-weekly group supervision with Cottage Supervisor for ongoing opportunities for orientation, communicating pertinent program/ kid issues, in addition to review and evaluate progress and performance issues. · Attends and participates in monthly cottage team meetings, and may be required to assist in recording meeting minutes in accord with established format. · Foster and maintain a positive and productive relationship with all youth and the cottage team. Essential Functions: • Assist clients with tasks within the scope of a home health aide based on the Plan of Care (POC)., • Communicate effectively with administrative staff regarding client/family needs assessments, including reporting any significant changes in client condition., • Provide care as outlined in the Home Health Aide Care Plan and accurately document the cares provided., • Contribute to continuity of care, effective communication between all care team members, and regular participation in Case conferences/Team Meetings., • Apply concepts of infection control and universal precaution in coordination/performing client care activities to protect both staff and patients., • Demonstrate commitment and professional growth by participating in in-service programs and maintaining/improving competency. Completes training or in-services in a timely manner as assigned by your supervisor. Supervision: N/A Requirements: Experience: • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, and the Agency leadership team., • Home Health Aide Certificate or other similar certification held in good standing. Certification requirements may vary by state and/or participating program., • A formal certificate of completion for an HHA/CNA training program that meets or exceeds standards established by Health and Human Services. Completion of all in-service hours per year. Ongoing requirements may vary by state and/or participating program., • Current CPR certification., • Current driver’s license in good standing. The employee is responsible for renewing their driver’s license before it expires to continue employment., • Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance., • Prolonged standing/walking is required., • The ability to lift/transfer up to 50 lbs., • Requires working under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and make quick decisions and resource acquisition., • Meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needs., • Works in patients’ homes in various conditions., • Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases., • Some exposure to unpleasant weather; PRN emergency call.
