Position Summary The Procurement Market Intelligence Expert is a strategic, data-driven expert responsible for delivering deep market insights and analytics to enhance procurement decision-making. This individual contributor role focuses on leveraging data analytics, market research, and advanced modeling techniques to drive procurement excellence, support category strategy, and mitigate supply risks. This individual will collect and analyze internal and external market data, monitor industry trends, and provide actionable intelligence to inform sourcing strategies, risk management, and cost optimization initiatives. You will work closely with category managers and senior procurement leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization. Key responsibilities include developing and managing procurement dashboards, conducting predictive analytics on supplier and market performance, and synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement analytics, market intelligence, and strategic sourcing, with expertise in data visualization tools, AI-driven analytics, and market trend forecasting. Job ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate an in-depth understanding of industry trends, supplier markets, commodity pricing, and geopolitical factors that impact procurement decisions.Lead in maintaining good working relationship with internal stakeholders. Serve as a liaison to key stakeholders on Procurement Market Intelligence & Analytics.Demonstrate and share knowledge of industry, PG&E activities, the California wholesale electricity market and market participants.
