Job Description Rebel Convenience Stores/Anabi Oil, one of the nation’s fastest-growing fuel and convenience retail operators, is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial and strategic direction of our organization. This role is based 100% on-site at our corporate office in Upland, CA. Only local Southern California candidates who can commute to the Upland office daily will be considered. This is not a remote or hybrid position. About the CFO Role The CFO is a key executive leader responsible for guiding the financial management, strategic planning, and operational structure of a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial organization. This role oversees Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, IT, forecasting, analytics, and long-term strategy, ensuring the company remains financially strong, scalable, and growth-ready. This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate balances high-level strategic thinking with the willingness to “roll up their sleeves” to support a lean and high-performing team. You will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership to drive financial excellence, operational efficiency, and organizational maturity. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Executive Leadership • Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to drive organizational strategy, innovation, and growth., • Lead financial strategy development, scenario planning, risk analysis, and business model optimization., • Oversee all accounting functions, including cash, AR, AP, inventory, general ledger, and monthly close., • Produce accurate, reconciled financial statements—P&L, balance sheet, cash flow—and complete monthly and annual forecasts., • Manage budgets, expense planning, variance analysis, and capital planning., • Develop and refine dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools for real-time business decision-making., • Provide ROI modeling, margin analysis, investment evaluation, and financial scenario planning., • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting, Finance, and IT teams., • Oversee semi-monthly cash flow reporting for lenders and external partners., • Maintain compliance with tax, regulatory, lending, and investor requirements., • Serve as the financial representative for banks, CPAs, attorneys, auditors, vendors, and investor groups., • Oversee financial health across a nationwide, multi-site environment (500+ locations)., • Support product development, market expansion, and strategic planning using data-driven insights., • Ensure financial stability related to liquidity, debt, assets, and investments. Required Skills & Qualifications Candidates must meet all of the following: • Proven track record as a CFO within a growth-oriented organization generating $700M+ in revenue., • 10+ years of experience leading or supervising both accounting and IT teams., • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred)., • Demonstrated success restructuring and scaling Accounting, Finance, and IT departments., • Experience in nationwide multi-site operations (500+ locations required)., • Professional accreditation such as CPA strongly preferred., • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, FASB, GASB, and financial compliance., • Significant experience managing budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and financial modeling., • Proven ability to build custom dashboards and reporting systems., • Understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws., • Ability to manage complex, multi-step projects and shifting priorities., • Experience with M&A within multi-entity organizations (preferred but not required)., • Experience in high-growth, lean, or start-up environments strongly preferred., • Ability to work outside normal business hours when needed (24/7 operational mindset)., • Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
