Job Description We are seeking a Vehicle Check-in/out & Driver position to join our team! You will be responsible to perform check-in/out duties as directed by the delivery manager such as noting damage, verifying order compliance, loading trucks, and assisting customers. Additionally, there will be occasions to make deliveries to customers and pick-ups from vendor warehouses while adhering to all company safety regulations and DMV laws. In addition, you will perform the following: General Duties • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Fuel as needed., • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles., • Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes to document weights and to comply with state regulations. (Class “B” CDL a plus), • Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and DMV/DOT laws., • Pick up customer vehicles, all of this is documented on a company form that is turned in immediately upon returning to the yard., • Maintain safe and clean work area., • Load and unload trucks, help others with loading and unloading, and secure material for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers as needed., • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying any special instructions. Read and interpret map to determine routes., • Data entry of vehicle information, • Final vehicle delivery preparation & quality control inspection Requirements • High school diploma, • Valid California Driver License w/ Clean driving record, • Clean background check, • Clean drug test, • Ability to lift 30 + pounds repeatedly throughout the day, • Fluently speak, read and write English (Bi-lingual Spanish a plus), • Familiar and comfortable with computers to log and print necessary delivery orders and vehicle check-outs Company DescriptionAbout Us Since 1978 Phenix Truck & Van has been manufacturing specialty custom work trucks for Southern California Municipalities, Utilities, Fire Departments and the US Government.
