Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Focus Interpreting is seeking a dedicated English to ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreter to provide interpretation services for students in the Inland Empire. This position requires a commitment to facilitate clear communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing students in educational settings, ensuring that all students have equal access to learning opportunities year-round. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide accurate and timely interpretation of spoken English into ASL during classroom instruction, discussions, and other school-related activities., • Adapt interpreting style to match instructional content and the individual needs of students., • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions., • Collaborate with educators, students, and parents to create an inclusive learning environment., • Fluency in both English and ASL with excellent expressive and receptive skills., • Valid certification from a recognized interpreting organization (e.g., RID, NAD) is preferred., • Experience working with students in educational settings is highly desirable., • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals. Set Schedule. Interpreters will be needed daily for the 2025-2026 school year.
