We are seeking experienced Diesel Technicians to join our service team in Orlando, FL. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and performing minor to major repairs on Class 6 through 9 medium, heavy, and severe-duty trucks, as well as school, passenger, and coach buses. You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance on engines, brakes, drums, shoes, hydraulics, clutches, transmissions, and more. Work with all makes and models of trucks, buses, and parts from top brands such as Cummins, International, IC Bus, Fleetrite, and other leading manufacturers. Responsibilities • Review work orders, assess the vehicle's condition, and develop a comprehensive repair plan., • Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and accurately interpret results to determine appropriate solutions., • Inspect vehicle systems including suspension, steering, and electrical components; repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts., • Test drive repaired vehicles to evaluate performance and complete oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake inspections., • Maintain detailed records of parts replaced and communicate with service consultants about any additional needed services, completing them upon authorization., • Document repairs on work orders precisely, including the three Cs: Customer Complaint, Cause, and Correction., • Ensure vehicles are returned to customers in a clean condition and treat all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel with professionalism and courtesy., • Strictly follow manufacturer policies and procedures regarding labor operations, timekeeping, repair order documentation, warranty repairs, and torque specifications., • Provide administrative support for completing warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management or the warranty administrator., • Keep repair advocates and case files updated throughout the day and at shift end., • Inform the Service Supervisor about the repair status prior to shift completion and return work order packets with keys in an organized manner., • Check OEM websites for pre-approval requirements on components or repairs, and ensure ECM images and OEM documentation are fully completed and included in the work order., • Tag all warranty cores with VIN and Repair Order numbers, and coordinate the signing off of these when turned in by the Warranty Administrator or Service Foreman., • Complete all required technical trainings and OEM educational courses within specified timeframes., • Produce high-quality workmanship and maintain a clean, organized workspace that reflects pride in your work.Requirements, • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Cummins, Detroit, and CAT engines is preferred., • ASE certifications and OEM training are advantageous; however, we are willing to provide training to the right candidates., • Possession of your own rolling tool cart and set of tools is recommended., • Ability to work well within a team, maintain professionalism, and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork., • Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL license., • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including background checks, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), drug testing, and validation of driver’s license.Benefits, • 8 Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off (PTO), Vacation, and Paid Birthday Off., • Mentorship and Internship Programs supporting work-life balance., • $500 Employee Referral Bonus Program., • Paid training and certification reimbursement., • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match through Fidelity., • Medical coverage, along with voluntary vision and dental plans., • Life and AD&D insurance benefits, including supplemental life insurance., • Short-term and voluntary long-term disability coverage.
