Job Description CNC Machinist Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Location: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 (40th St and Southern) Shift: Day shift or Night shift REQUIRED: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate CNC machines without oversight running proven production jobs, • Understand process trouble shooting techniques with the ability to display those attributes, • Demonstrate proper setup techniques, loading, indicating, touch off, of all tooling. Ability to load programs and verify correct operation, revision, etc. Cutting jaws and loading of needed fixtures. First piece buy-off, • Daily machine maintenance (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips, etc.), • Maintaining a clean and organized work space, • Clear understanding of CNC controls including G & M program codes, • Tool management, entering in offsets without oversight to compensate for tool wear etc. Replacement of worn and damaged tools (inserts, boring bars, end mills, drills, etc.), • Ability to read and have a clear understanding of B/P’s including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards, • Proper use of basic inspection, measuring and test equipment to verify machined dimensions of product. Working knowledge of the use of dial bore gages, air gages, intertest gages, etc., • In-process inspection of parts machined. Recording inspection data at the prescribed intervals per the inspection traveler or other company paperwork, • Filling out MOT and job routers, • Maintaining correct part counts on the MOT for the operations performed, • Tagging hardware and recording discrepancies on proper paperwork for hardware known to be discrepant. The majority of our position hours range from 40+ hours a week. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all craftsmen with no week in the hole. Ultimate LLC Sandblaster Requirements • Daily Work Plan: The sandblaster is responsible for creating a work plan for each day, ensuring it is set up and laid out by the end of the previous workday. This includes prioritizing tasks, organizing resources, and determining the time needed for each job., • Workspace Maintenance: The sandblaster must maintain a clean and organized work environment. This includes keeping the blast bay clean, ensuring curtains are closed, and keeping the area in front of the blast booth cleaned and cleared of obstructions., • Booth Cleaning: The sandblaster is required to clean the blast booth daily in case the Air Quality Department conducts inspections. Job Description CNC Mill Operator Defense & Aerospace Machine Shop Location: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 Shift: Day shift or Night shift Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required. CNC OPERATOR/ PARTS LOADING RESPONSIBILITIES: • Loading material / parts into machine and running program., • Daily maintenance on machine (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips, etc)., • In-process inspection of parts., • Minor program changes, mainly tool offsets., • Replacement of worn or damaged tools (inserts, boring bars, end mills, drills, etc)., • Sign-off of paperwork accompanying parts (MOT, Inspection Traveler), • Proper handling of parts., • Machine operation. Mazak a plus, • Part holding methods., • Machine maintenance requirements., • Reading and understanding B/P’s including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards., • Use of basic inspection, measuring and test equipment to verify dimensions of product., • Basic knowledge of CNC code., • Installation and removal of perishable tooling., • Company specific handling requirements., • Minimum High School Diploma or trade school, • Must be at least 18 years old and Authorized to work in the US, • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis. Job Description Mill-Turn Machinist Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Location: 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 (40th St and Southern) Shift: Day shift REQUIRED: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required. MILL-TURN RESPONSIBILITIES: • Setup & operate Mill-Turn multi-axis machines to produce high precision aerospace components on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, • Setup and operate robot gantry-based part loading systems for production, • Daily machine maintenance (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips, etc.), • Maintaining a clean and organized work space, • Tool management, entering in offsets to compensate for tool wear etc. Replacement of worn and damaged tools (inserts, boring bars. Etc.), • Adhering to all company and industry safety standards and protocols. Understanding of industry buy-off requirements, company specific handling & FOD requirements, product identification requirements, filling out company paperwork properly (MOT, Inspection Travelers, Job Sheets, etc.), • Maintaining correct part counts on the MOT for the operations performed, • Ability to hold tolerances of .0002” - .0005” while maintaining a high level of productivity, • Able to work independently and stay on task – operate 2 machines regularly, • Ability to problem solve and communicate process improvement suggestions with management, • Communicate any job-related issues/questions (part feature, program, inspection, etc.) to lead personnel for resolution and or clarification, • Familiarity with Mazak machines a plus, • Proficient with standard types of measuring inspection equipment to verify machined dimensions or product – Indicating Micrometers, Bore Gages, Sunnen Gage, & Test Indicators, • Read and interpret of B/P’s including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing), and any other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standards and following directions, • Ability to read and interrupt G & M machine codes and program understanding is a plus, • Experience holding tolerances of .0002” - .0005” and surface finish requirements of 16 is a plus, • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and willing to learn, • High School or GED, • 5+ years’ experience running multi-axis Mill-Turn machines preferred but not required, • Understanding of robot gantry-based part loading systems is preferred, • Ability to use computer software, company ERP system, clocking in and out of jobs, etc., • Familiarity with Mazak machines a plus The Company is equal opportunity employer providing competitive wages and benefits.
