Job Description Position Title: A La Carte Server 1 Position Reports to: Dining Services Manager Employee Categories: Full Time Year-Round/Benefits Eligible FLSA Category: Non-Exempt; Hourly Position Compensation: $25-$30/hr. based on experience At The Country Club, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience that reflects our tradition of hospitality, professionalism, and warm service. The A La Carte Server plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for our members and their guests by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service in our dining venues. Compensation Rage: $25-30/hr. based on experience. Primary Responsibilities: • Proper serving and clearing of food and beverages., • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu and confidently answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and cooking techniques., • Set an A la Carte and a Banquet table properly: positioning of china, silver and glassware., • Gathering and setting daily functions: placing tables, chairs and setting to specifications noted on write-up., • Completing close-out responsibilities, cleaning and re-stocking a la carte areas for use the next day., • Attend menu tasting as scheduled., • Attend additional training classes as announced, i.e. wine training, and F&B training, • Folding napkins for service in the dining rooms as well as for the week’s functions, • Replenishing condiments, salt and pepper, lemon wedges, coffee and tea, • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of other events taking place in the clubhouse, • Communicate courteously and politely with members, • Additional duties/ projects as assigned by management Required Skills: • 1-2 years of prior restaurant or F&B experience., • Exposure to a private club environment is preferable., • Intermediate Food and Beverage knowledge., • Basic knowledge of all wine, beer, cocktail and non-alcoholic beverage offerings., • Ability to present and pour a bottle of wine or champagne., • Ability to work well in a team environment., • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and perform the essential functions of the job., • Basic reading and writing skills, • Ability to speak English conversationally., • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays as scheduled Specialized Knowledge/Licenses Required: • TIPs Certified Uniform Requirements: • White, clean, pressed, dress shirt (provided on first day), • Black slacks/pants (no denim, yoga pants, or casual materials), • If the slacks are tailored with a belt loop, please wear a black belt with simple buckle, • Black Bow Tie (if needed, provided by TCC), • Black socks or stockings that go above the ankle, • Black unadorned, clean/polished, comfortable work shoes, • Black vest and/or jacket (if needed, provided by TCC) Physical Requirements: • Must be able bend and reach for items off shelf, carry trays, able to lift up to 40 lbs., • Must be able to stand for 8 to 10 hours, • Use touch screen for POS system The Country Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
