Job Description Position Summary • Responsible for designing, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in the production of aerospace components., • Requires strong machining skills, experience with tight tolerances, and the ability to work with complex materials in a high-precision manufacturing environment., • Aerospace manufacturing experience and familiarity with aerospace quality standards are strongly preferred. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in aerospace production., • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to produce tooling components., • Operate and maintain manual and CNC machines, including:, • Lathes, • Mills, • Grinders, • EDM equipment, • Other precision machining equipment, • Ensure all tooling meets strict aerospace quality and tolerance requirements., • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to develop tooling solutions for new and existing programs., • Inspect finished tools using precision measuring equipment, including:, • Micrometers, • Calipers, • Gauges, • CMM equipment, • Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement continuous improvement solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency., • Maintain accurate documentation of tooling builds, modifications, and repairs., • Follow all safety regulations, quality procedures, and aerospace industry standards. Required Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required., • Tool & Die Maker certification, machining certificate, or apprenticeship preferred., • 3+ years of experience in:, • Tool making, • Tool & die, • Precision machining, • Aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing experience preferred., • Proficiency with:, • Manual machining equipment, • CNC machining equipment, • Ability to read and interpret:, • GD&T, • Complex engineering drawings, • Experience working with:, • Tight tolerances, • Aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, and specialty alloys, • Strong knowledge of:, • Precision measurement tools, • Inspection techniques, • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills., • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional manufacturing team.
