Job Description Thompson Engineering has a full-time opportunity for a Survey Rodman. The Surveyor Rodman provides support to the Surveyor Party Chief in the daily responsibilities of the land surveying department. This position is responsible for collecting survey data using designated survey equipment. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel and support project needs. Duties: • Operates total station, digital and automatic level, Topcon data collector, TDS software., • Collect data for field level notes which is reported to the Surveyor Party Chief., • Assist in loading and unloading survey equipment from the company vehicle., • Ability to travel and stay overnight based on the workload of the Survey Department., • Conduct all work activities in compliance with Thompson Holdings, Inc. Health, Safety & Environmental Management System, safety policies & procedures, safety execution plans and Job Safety and Environmental Analyses., • Attend and pro-actively participate in monthly safety meetings, project toolbox safety meetings and safety moments., • On time and consistent attendance is required. Fire sprinkler foreman are responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They manage specific installation projects assigned to them by the Fire Sprinkler Manager. Foremen oversee the technicians, installation fitters, and assistants working at the site. They ensure the entire installation process is done flawlessly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Fire sprinkler foremen use project drawings to interpret installation requirement details accurately and entirely., • Delegate appropriate tasks to fitters, mechanics and assistants as needed to fulfill project completion deadlines, meet scheduling requirements, and exceed the goals established by the fire sprinkler manager., • Install and test installation of fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects, • Follow designed plans, communicates needed design change to fit actual site requirements, • Be responsible for materials delivered to site and for minor fabrication on job site., • In charge of updating daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings., • If a change to the order is necessary, they bring it to the attention of the manager., • Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, or other personnel in the basic process or service, repair, and/or system installation, • Perform other duties assigned by management. Education/Qualification: • Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes., • Must hold valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record to be approved to drive company vehicle., • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety., • Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work., • Requires the ability to display knowledge of basic practices of reviewing official documents for completeness and accuracy.Other Duties:, • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy., • Performs other duties as assigned. Job Description Thompson Engineering is looking for a Driller Assistant, willing to travel, but based in our Mobile, AL office. The Driller Assistant is responsible for assisting the Driller, other Driller Assistants, Soil Technicians and Project Engineers with the daily functions of geotechnical (with occasional environmental) drilling operations for both onshore and offshore project assignments. Essential Functions of the Position 1. Perform variety of drilling duties handling drill rods, wrenches and other tools behind the drill rig equipment, 2. Responsible for loading and unloading drilling equipment in and out of the company vehicles and trailers, 3. Drives company vehicle to and from work sites, 4. On time and consistent attendance, 5. Picks up sacks filled with mud and empties the mud into the mixer container, 6. Monitors the fluid properties of the drilling fluids (mud), 7. Equipment repairs and maintenance in the field and at shop Other Responsibilities 1. Follow safety procedures, 2. Follow quality procedures, 3. Other duties as required Minimum Requirements 1.
