The Opportunity Viscadia is seeking a highly hands-on Consultant to support a fast-growing life sciences client. This role is deeply embedded in forecasting work and requires close, ongoing collaboration with U.S.-based client stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Own and execute day-to-day pharmaceutical forecasting activities, including model updates, data refreshes, scenario analysis, and assumption management, • Build, maintain, and enhance forecast models with a strong emphasis on accuracy, transparency, and usability, • Deeply understand forecast drivers, risks, and sensitivities and proactively surface insights to client teams, • Develop and evaluate multiple forecast options, clearly articulating tradeoffs, risks, and implications before recommendations are made, • Use Excel, VBA, SQL, and Python or R, plus Access and Tableau as needed, to automate forecasting workflows, validate data refreshes, and produce client-ready outputs, • Support onboarding of new client stakeholders by walking them through forecast models, assumptions, and methodologies, • Conduct working sessions and hands-on workshops with client teams to explain how models are structured, how they should be maintained, and how outputs should be interpreted, • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for client questions related to forecasting models, data inputs, and analytical outputs, • Partner closely with client stakeholders in a highly collaborative, in-office culture, providing confident onshore support, • Integrate market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and therapeutic area insights into forecasting work, • Develop therapeutic area expertise to strengthen analytical rigor and client credibility, • Apply structured problem-solving frameworks to address complex client questions, • Translate complex analyses into clear, concise narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences, • Prepare and deliver high-quality client-facing materials, including PowerPoint decks and written communications, • Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, anticipating questions and addressing gaps proactively, • Contribute to the development of Viscadia’s forecasting capabilities, tools, and methodologies, • Share learnings and best practices across project teams, • Uphold Viscadia’s standards for quality, ownership, and client impact Qualifications & Experience Required • BA or BS required; graduate degree preferred, • 4 to 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical forecasting, analytics, or life sciences consulting, • Demonstrated, hands-on experience building and maintaining forecasting solutions using VBA, SQL, and Python or R, with the ability to leverage Access and Tableau for data management, automation, and visualization, • Prior experience working with U.S.-based clients or stakeholders, with a strong understanding of U.S. workplace culture and expectations, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights, • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong personal bar for quality, • Valid U.S. work authorization, • In-office 4 days/week, • Experience combining forecasting with market research or commercial analytics, • Experience supporting commercial forecasting for product launch planning (assumption setting, scenario planning, uptake and share dynamics), • Experience providing onsite or embedded client support, • Familiarity with healthcare datasets, syndicated databases, or commercial pharma data sources What This Role Is (and Is Not) • This role is for someone who is deeply hands-on and enjoys being close to the work, • This is not a people-management role and is not suited for candidates who have stepped away from execution, • Expectations are high, and the client is highly knowledgeable and engaged, but also collaborative and reasonable, • Success in this role requires strong ownership, proactive communication, and confidence in your analytical craft
