Job Summary The Human Resources Systems Analyst is responsible for driving optimization, implementation, and configuration of Workday modules across HCM, Payroll, and Finance to enhance HR operations and ensure data accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role combines deep technical expertise in Workday with a strong understanding of HR processes, data governance, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Systems Analyst will serve as the firms Workday subject matter expert (SME), ensuring system integrity, supporting strategic HR initiatives, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Workday Implementation, Configuration & Optimization: • Configure and maintain Workday modules, including HCM, Payroll, and Financials, ensuring alignment with HR processes and business requirements., • Lead or support Workday system implementations, upgrades, and tenant migrations., • Build and test business processes, calculated fields, security roles, and integrations., • Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to identify process improvements and automation opportunities., • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all Workday modules., • Conduct regular audits to verify data compliance with HR, payroll, and employment regulations., • Manage data imports, mass updates, and integrations with external HR tools (e.g., background check, benefits, or payroll systems)., • Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards in Workday to support HR, Payroll, and Finance analytics., • Analyze workforce metrics such as headcount, turnover, compensation, and hiring trends., • Provide data insights to support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and budgeting decisions., • Partner with HR leadership, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to translate business needs into technical requirements., • Provide end-user support and training to ensure adoption of Workday best practices., • Collaborate with vendors or consultants during system enhancements or troubleshooting. Education and Experience: • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field., • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience including configuration, reporting, or system administration., • Experience supporting or implementing Workday HCM, Payroll, or Financials modules., • Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll compliance, and workforce data management. Skills and Competencies: • Proficiency in Workday configuration, integrations, and report building., • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities., • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users., • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy., • Workday Pro Certification in HCM, Payroll, or Reporting preferred., • Analytical Thinking & Data Literacy, • Attention to Detail, • Communication & Collaboration, • HR Systems Proficiency (Workday), • Process Improvement Orientation System Configuration & Optimization • Implementation of Workday module enhancements or automations per quarter., • Reduction in manual HR or payroll processes through automation (target: 25%)., • Data accuracy in Workday audits (goal: 100%)., • Compliance with data privacy and employment regulations (zero violations)., • Report accuracy rate (goal: 98%)., • Timeliness of dashboard updates (goal: 100% on schedule)., • Response time to user/system inquiries (goal: within 1 business day)., • Training completion rate for HR system users (goal: 90%)., • Demonstrated ROI through measurable efficiency gains., • Increased data visibility for leadership decision-making., • Hybrid Role based in San Antonio, TX., • Combination of in-person meetings and remote work.
