Job Description IMMEDIATE HIRING!!! MEDICAL DEVICE ASSEMBLERS -2nd Shift -$23/hr. Job Description This role focuses on the precise manufacturing and assembly of medical devices, including catheter assemblies performed under a microscope in a regulated cleanroom environment. You will follow established procedures, operate specialized tools and equipment, and work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure every product meets strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Manufacture and assemble medical devices, including catheter products, using microscopes and specialized tools in a cleanroom environment., • Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance requirements, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and all Safety requirements., • Complete required training on production tasks and demonstrate understanding of travelers/routers, material identification, and the correct use of production and inspection tools and equipment., • Operate tools and equipment accurately and safely, and complete all required documentation in a timely and compliant manner., • Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspections to ensure that all assigned tasks meet defined quality and process standards., • Work directly with engineers and supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality are consistently maintained., • Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine process documentation to support efficient and compliant manufacturing operations., • Conduct inventory counts and support material control activities as needed to maintain production flow., • Use EFD dispensers, UV curing systems, and various adhesives (including different Loctite products) as part of the assembly process, following all handling and safety guidelines., • Perform visual and dimensional inspections, including under a microscope, to verify workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices., • Use required safety equipment when performing lab and cleanroom work., • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment., • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment, or relevant prototyping experience., • Prior experience with microscope-based assembly, particularly in medical device or similar precision work., • Demonstrated ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance processes, Work Instructions, and Good Documentation Practices., • Understanding of and adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)., • Experience performing in-process inspections to ensure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices., • Prior cleanroom work experience, including adherence to cleanroom protocols and practices., • Ability to read and follow production drawings, travelers, routers, and related documentation., • Proficiency with basic production and inspection tools and equipment used in medical device manufacturing., • Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineers, supervisors, and team members., • Experience in the manufacturing of catheter products is a strong plus., • Experience with catheter assembly under a microscope., • Familiarity with working with adhesives, including various Loctite products, in a production environment., • Experience using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems in assembly processes., • Experience in medical device manufacturing operations and cleanroom production. Work Environment This position is based in a cleanroom environment focused on medical device manufacturing, where you will follow strict cleanliness, safety, and documentation standards. Multiple shifts are available: first shift (with start times as early as 5:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m., or 6:00 a.m.), second shift from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and third shift from approximately 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday night through Saturday morning), with the expectation to train on first or second shift for up to two weeks. Second shift offers a 5% differential, and third shift offers a 10% differential. You will work with microscopes, EFD dispensers, UV curing systems, adhesives, and other specialized tools and equipment in a regulated, process-driven setting that requires consistent use of appropriate safety and cleanroom attire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
