Job DescriptionNOW HIRING: Production Material Coordinator Job Description Join us as a Materials Management Coordinator in Carlsbad, CA, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials in a team-based manufacturing environment. In this role, you will support shift and daily production schedules by coordinating timely material staging for production work orders, resolving material shortages, and optimizing team resources. Responsibilities • Coordinate timely material staging for production work orders., • Ensure accurate and timely transactions of material movements., • Optimize the use of team resources and tools., • Resolve material shortages and supply issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams., • Provide guidance to Materials Management Specialists., • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to quality standards and process documentation., • Safeguard materials against loss and follow corrective action protocols., • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities related to material movement, transaction execution, and inventory accuracy., • Maintain proactive and effective communication with team members, internal customers, and partners., • Participate in inter-team and interdepartmental problem-solving activities. Essential Skills • High school diploma or GED., • At least two years of relevant experience in inventory management, material staging, and production scheduling., • Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or a similar industry preferred., • Transactional experience with ERP systems., • Working knowledge of manufacturing-related computer software., • Intermediate Excel skills., • Experience with Good Documentation Practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy., • Forklift Certification preferred., • Good organizational and problem-solving skills., • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment., • Strong communication and teamwork skills., • Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Work Environment Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will be entering and exiting cold/freezer rooms. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, talking, using hands to handle materials, and reaching with hands and arms. You may be required to stand for extended periods and work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Regularly lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting 45 pounds or more with assistance and/or equipment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
