Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Job Description This role focuses on assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical capital equipment from initial sub-assembly through final test and system acceptance. You will start by learning sub-assembly processes and progressively take on full final assembly responsibilities, ensuring that all systems meet quality, reliability, and performance standards. Responsibilities • Assemble complex electro-mechanical capital equipment, sub-systems, mechanisms, and controls from sub-assembly through final assembly., • Follow detailed assembly procedures, technical drawings, test procedures, specifications, data sheets, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete work accurately., • Set up and operate standard and specialized test equipment to evaluate equipment performance and verify compliance with specifications., • Conduct tests to determine the quality and reliability of assembled systems and components., • Diagnose the root cause of malfunctions or performance issues and perform necessary corrections, adjustments, and repairs., • Use hand tools, measuring tools, and test instruments to assemble, align, and verify components and systems., • Collaborate with other technicians and assemblers to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement of assembly and test processes., • Document work performed and communicate test results, issues, and recommendations clearly and accurately., • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment., • Proven experience assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical capital equipment., • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings., • Ability to read and understand mechanical component drawings., • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics., • Ability to read and understand pneumatic schematics., • Hands-on experience using general test equipment such as power supplies and oscilloscopes., • Proficiency with electrical and mechanical assembly, including wiring and use of standard tools., • Ability to use measurement and test instruments such as multimeters and calipers., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment., • Familiarity with personal computer hardware and software for basic troubleshooting and test support., • Experience working with electro-mechanical sub-systems and controls in a production environment., • Comfort working from detailed technical documentation, including specifications, data sheets, and wiring diagrams., • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing equipment malfunctions. You will work in a modern, brand-new facility with a spacious layout designed for efficient and comfortable production work. Work Environment This is a full-time, first-shift role, Monday through Friday, with core hours from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM and flexibility on start time. The work takes place in a brand-new, large manufacturing facility equipped for assembly and testing of electro-mechanical capital equipment. You will regularly use tools such as multimeters, calipers, hand tools, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and other standard and specialized test equipment. The environment is collaborative, with a mid-sized team of technicians and assemblers ranging from all levels working together on production and final assembly. The dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on manufacturing and test setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
