The Electrical Instrument Technician maintains, constructs and repairs electrical distribution, lighting, computer and PLC systems within the plant, as well as assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures. They will also diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. As a Structures Technician, here is what youll be doing at the core, day to day. Perform thorough inspection of aircraft structures, identifying and documenting any signs of damage or wear. Reactor Technicians work closely with Epitaxial Engineers and UHV Technicians to ensure the day-to-day operation and high performance of MBE reactors to grow high quality layers of semiconductor material on wafer surfaces. Key duties and responsibilities include: Duties: • Maintenance: Assists UHV Technicians and Epitaxial Engineers with major vent maintenance tasks, as well as minor troubleshooting and repair. Tracks routing maintenance requirements and works with epitaxial engineers and UHV technicians to ensure on-time compliance. Tasks will include monitoring the status of facilities and accessory equipment on a weekly SPC tracker and reporting any deviations and tracking time/growths dependent preventative maintenance requirements such as load-lock cleaning, platen cleaning, 5S/FOD compliance, and cryopump regeneration., • Setup and Operation: Setting-up and operating computer-controlled epitaxial reactors. These tasks begin with daily checks of the reactor gauges, electronics rack, pumps, and reactor room, recorded on an SPC tracker. The Epitaxial Reactor Technician reviews and runs the recipes and recipe lots written up by the Epitaxial Engineers, then updates run logs. Initiates Run Cards, updates enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and advises on job completions. Reactors include a Veeco GEN2000, Veeco GEN200s, and smaller reactors modified for epitaxial-mirror-on-facet (EMOF)., • Process Monitoring: Entering processing data into the computer and monitoring the process via display screens, including trend data and residual gas analyzer feeds. Trend data of completed growths are reviewed and SPC data entered in growth trackers, any deviations are immediately reported to the Epitaxial Engineer and/or Epitaxial Manager., • Wafer Handling: Safely handles and tracks wafer movement before and after epitaxial growth. In the growth planning stage this involves selecting, labeling, and loading Epitaxial Engineer designated substrate wafers on the reactor platen, then ensuring substrates are outgassed in the load-lock and prep chamber before growth. On completed growths, labels wafer pucks with run data, unload and inspects wafers, and transports wafers to wafer characterization., • Wafer Characterization: Characterizes all wafers, enters results into tracking software and forms, and reports on pass/fail results including any deviations from control or spec limits. Field Responsibilities • Perform field collection and verification of aerial utility pole data, • Measure pole height, attachment elevations, and clearances using calibrated measurement tools, • Capture pole images, GPS coordinates, and field notes using company-provided mobile devices, • Inspect poles for class, condition, span length, and existing attachments, • Identify clearance issues, loading conflicts, and discrepancies between GIS data and field conditions, • Walk pole lines across various terrain and weather conditions, • Travel locally to project segments as required Office & Technical Responsibilities • Input field-collected data into O-Calc, SPIDAcalc, Katapult, or similar pole loading software, • Build and calibrate pole loading models based on field measurements, • Validate pole class, height, span length, and loading assumptions, • Upload, organize, and maintain accurate engineering records and documentation, • Support make-ready engineering, fiber design, and permitting workflows, • Prepare completed pole loading packages for engineering review Qualifications • High School diploma or equivalent, • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy, • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and mobile applications Preferred Qualifications • Telecom, utility, or fiber engineering experience, • Experience with O-Calc, SPIDAcalc, Katapult, IKE GPS, or similar tools, • Experience with pole loading analysis or field data collection What This Role Offers • Opportunity to work on critical fiber infrastructure projects, • Combination of field and technical engineering experience, • Career growth within telecom and utility engineering, • Hands-on experience with industry-leading engineering tools The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the incumbent(s) of this job. This position is regulated by Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) but it's not an active mining operation. Type: Full-Time Base Work Location: Tucson, AZ (Near I-10 & Wilmot) Hourly Rate:$19.00 Anticipated start date: 01/19/2026 Essential Functions and Responsibilities • Photographing geological core samples, • Moving/Handling geological core samples, • Prepping/Shipping, • Splitting, sampling, and palletizing drill core and other geological material in support of company operations, • Data entry using Microsoft Excel/Word Qualifications (REQUIRED) • Must pass pre-employment substance abuse testing., • Basic Computer skills, • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a heavy industrial workplace., • Must be flexible with schedule and ability to work at various local sites if needed.
