Job Title: Base Aircraft Maintenance Technician Location: Chicago, IL Department: Maintenance Reports To: Line Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: The Base Aircraft Maintenance report to a Line Maintenance Supervisor and carry out instructions assigned in accordance with FAA regulations and National Airlines policies and procedures. They are responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components. Effectively perform work to meet deadlines and performance goals following company policies and procedures. Essential Functions: • Review aircraft log entries with flight personnel on trip arrivals, • Perform all duties in compliance with General Maintenance Manual, Company policy and all applicable FAA and DOT regulations, including proper completion of paperwork and forms related to assignment, • Stand, stoop, and maneuver into small or awkward places and positions to perform, repair, maintenance, overhaul, and inspection of assigned equipment, components, and aircraft as required by location, according to established procedures and requirements. Climb in and out of aircraft being repaired as required, • Move and manipulate parts of various sizes and shapes using hand and repair tools.
