Job Description The Role Liberty Science Center (LSC) is seeking a creative and skillful Exhibit Technician. The primary focus of this position is on the daily care and upkeep of all exhibitions featured at LSC. This role will also include fabrication, installation, and maintenance of in-house, traveling and off-site exhibitions. Ideal candidates will be required to diagnose, troubleshoot and research successful solutions for exhibit carpentry, electrical, mechanical and computer issues. (PAGNY) for The Division of Correctional Health Services (CHS) of New York City Health + Hospitals (H+H) is responsible for the delivery of medical care, mental health care, and discharge planning in the jail system. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong DBT training program, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, integrated re- entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. The Pharmacy Technician performs all technical tasks in the unit dose, carry and out-patient drug distribution systems as well as other related duties of a satellite pharmacy. The Registered Pharmacist approves all work performed by the Pharmacy Technician. Organizational Responsibilities: • Unit Dose and Carry Drug Distribution Systems, • Picks up patient medication orders from clinic, mini-clinic areas, etc. on a routine basis. Requests from other agencies should be referred to the pharmacist on duty., • Prints and reviews all transfer reports, checks if the patients is on medication, prints patient medication profile and fills needed doses of medication for subsequent checking by pharmacist. Can contact other building pharmacy to obtain needed DOT MAR or methadone distribution sheet., • Transports patient cassettes to medication clinic areas and exchanges same when necessary., • Files completed fill lists, updates lists, distribution lists, methadone sheets and other materials according to procedure., • Checks, rotates and restocks all drug stock areas. Fills Pyxis machines as required. Files Pyxis reports with non pyxis stock records and retains them for 1 week. On a monthly basis checks for outdated medications in Pyxis, clinic floor stock, pharmacy stock and other areas where pharmacy stores medications. For non pyxis floor stock, maintains established par levels based on individual clinic or infirmary need. Records issues of stock on the non pyxis Floor Stock Inventory and Issue Record., • Delivers emergency boxes and other requested items to clinic or infirmary areas as needed., • Prepares weekly pharmacy stock order by utilizing par levels and building usage patterns for review by the pharmacist. Enters order into IDWhere and transmits on both a daily and weekly basis to packaging. Reconciles packing slip or invoice against items received. Notifies building pharmacist and packaging manager of any discrepancies. Shift: Monday to Friday - 7:00am to 3:30pm You will... • Maintain and operate industrial refrigeration systems including large rack systems, split systems, blast chillers, cooling towers and ancillary equipment., • Lead and educate compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards., • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned refrigeration and HVAC systems and ancillary equipment as needed., • Perform troubleshooting of assigned out of service equipment and correct issues, act as an escalation point for lower-level technicians, and escalate to leadership and/or vendors as needed for additional troubleshooting., • Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate., • Mentor all maintenance personnel in developing appropriate skill sets and knowledge of equipment specializing in refrigeration., • Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events., • Act as a network resource for technical issues and lead network-wide root cause analysis., • Develop maintenance personnel knowledge on intermediate to advanced refrigeration processes, tools and techniques., • Audit maintenance personnel work and provide feedback to improve performance and quality., • Audit vendor work to provide feedback to leadership on quality of work and SLA performance., • Write and/or modify PMs to standardize across the network and increase effectiveness., • Repair and perform predictive and preventative maintenance procedures on CO2 and Freon refrigeration systems including, but not limited to compressors, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, glycol systems, various industrial utility systems, motors, and power distribution systems., • Give direction and/or training to entry level refrigeration technicians including, but not limited to day-to-day operations, inspections and inspection techniques, basic repairs and repair techniques, and conformance to all state, local, and HelloFresh regulations and policies., • Perform building project work as assigned. You have... • 4-6 years of experience with refrigeration repair and maintenance in an industrial setting,, • Advanced understanding of rack system refrigeration and associated equipment., • Experience with repair and maintenance of glycol systems, heat exchangers, HVAC, and water chiller systems., • Experience with electrical systems including single and three phase motor systems, power distribution, and low voltage controls with the ability to troubleshoot to the component level., • Current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 certification., • All necessary regulatory licenses required by local municipalities to work in the field of industrial refrigeration., • Ability to demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)., • Ability to conform to all OSHA, PSM, HAZMAT, and HelloFresh safety programs and regulations., • Ability to demonstrate understanding of proper handling and recycling procedures for chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), Hydrofluro-Olefins (HFO), CO2, and other industry standard refrigerant types., • Ability to safely replace mechanical and electrical components including motors, motor starters, switches, solenoids, pumps, refrigeration valves, compressors, and auxiliary refrigeration equipment., • Experience working with a wide range of networked refrigeration controls platforms., • Ability to withstand walking, lifting, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, walking on roofs, and working in confined spaces., • Basic computer skills., • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and diagrams., • Ability to travel as necessary (up to 10%) for business purposes., • High School diploma or equivalent., • Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense.
