The Quality Control Specialist plays a key role in supporting Environmental Health & Safety, Production, and Raw Material quality initiatives. This position ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration. Responsibilities • Ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies related to quality control and safety., • Manage quality processes and adhere to company procedures., • Follow daily workload and priorities as directed by the QC Group Leader., • Maintain and calibrate equipment and instruments according to policy., • Complete measurement reports accurately and on time., • Test products to confirm specifications for new materials and recertifications., • Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally in coordination with sales and relevant departments., • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers., • Utilize internal systems such as SAP and maintain proper documentation., • Support Lean Management and 5S principles by keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe., • Participate in special projects as assigned and remain flexible to perform additional duties as needed.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field preferred., • Ability to complete hazardous waste training within six months of hire and annually., • Quality control and inspection skills., • Perform product testing to ensure conformance to specifications., • Use spectrometer and viscosity measurement tools for precise evaluations., • Spray paint samples in a paint booth (respirator required)., • Complete accurate measurement reports and maintain QC cards and samples., • Handle customer complaints in coordination with sales and relevant departments., • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies., • Keep work area clean and organized following 5S principles.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Interested in science or have taken science courses., • Quality control experience in similar environments., • Motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable.Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr. Hourly Pay - 20 -23 (24 for someone who is a rockstar) Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Charleston,SC.
