Job Description Env in Cordova, TN is looking for one Junior Chef to join our strong team. We are located on 815 Exocet Dr Unit 105. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable. Job Description The cook plans, prepares and serves ample and nutritious meals. The Cook is responsible for seeing that the kitchen, serving, pantry, and dining areas are always clean and compliant with Memphis Shelby County Health Department and Memphis Food Bank regulations and that serving, and cooking equipment is cleaned and maintained in conformity with city codes for sanitation. The Cook will maintain an ongoing program for control of rodents and insects. The Cook is responsible for economical shopping and purchasing of food and foodstuffs. The Cook assures the safe and sanitary storage of all foods (cooked or uncooked) at all times and that food is stored in a separate area from all cleaning supplies. The Cook prepares and serves a nutritious balanced diet three times a day, and prepares a nutritious carry along lunch for clients who work at meal times. The Cook is responsible for unloading the food purchases, food received from vendors, and stocking and rotating food in the pantry. Other assignments that becomes necessary to perform in carrying out Serenity Recovery Center’s program. Must keep current CPR and First Aid certification. Prior training and/or experience in food preparation and service are required.
