Job DescriptionCompany Description Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business. We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets. Job Description This role is based out of our Phoenix, AZ office. Achieve Territory Sales Goals • Reports to Senior Sales Manager., • Meets sales targets and service objectives in assigned territory by strategically selling across the SupplySide portfolio: in-person tradeshows (SupplySide Connect New Jersey and SupplySide Global,) and digital products (SupplySide Supplement Journal and SupplySide Food & Beverage Journal), • Directly contacts all clients in designated territory., • Develops and maintains close relationship with accounts to understand their business needs, meet and exceed expectations, provide exceptional customer service, and increase revenue spend., • Monitors weekly sales via Salesforce and works with Senior Sales Manager to identify new targets, and existing accounts with opportunities to grow., • Meets/aims to exceed the financial goals that were set for the geography/named accounts for which they are responsible. Normal account management and substantial prospecting responsibilities (>75%)., • Has set strategic plans for top customers in defined territory and assigned accounts., • Shows ability to generate 75%+ account renewal, • Works within vision and core values of SupplySide Network and Informa’s Guiding Principles., • Travels as suggested to conferences, clients, prospects, vendors, tradeshows, etc., • Provides consistent, timely reporting of projects and meets identified deadlines., • Replies to client communication within 24 hours., • Uses identified software and tools for prospecting, record keeping and daily pipeline management., • Responsible for following procedures, timelines & deadlines for projects as indicated., • Encourages a positive attitude at work and a “can-do” attitude., • Always interacts with clients and colleagues with the utmost professionalism and respect., • Plays a significant role in creating custom programming for clients, leveraging management but maintaining a lead role.Qualifications, • 2-3 years of sales or business development experience in media, sponsorship, and B2B event sales, • Ability to negotiate effectively, and proactively handle and respond to customer objections, • Creative and analytical thinker, with a fast-learning ability, capable of selling based on value rather than price and possessing a deep understanding of consultative selling., • Demonstrated ability to find, manage and close high-level business in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong time management skills, • Must be team-focused with a collaborative mindset and able to work seamlessly with exhibitors and internal teams, • Strong understanding of campaign metrics and analysis, • Must be able to work autonomously and maintain a high level of accountability., • Proficient with experience in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Salesforce, • Motivated to learn and become knowledgeable on industry trends, products, and news, • Travel required 10-20% Additional Information We believe that great things happen when people connect face-to-face.
