Job Description Senior Logistics Analyst One Source Freight Solutions (OSFS) is a non-asset-based 3rd party logistics provider based in Phoenix, Arizona. Our Asset Recovery Business Unit provides transportation solutions using white glove pick-up and delivery services along with reverse logistics services for our customers. As a Senior Logistics Analyst for our Asset Recovery Business Unit, your primary responsibility is to manage and develop relationships with assigned clients to ensure customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and retention. You will serve as the main point of contact for your clients, understanding their logistics needs, and coordinating freight forwarding services. This position requires strong dispatch and linehaul knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving, account management skills, ability to calculate rates based on vendor and customer tariffs, industry knowledge, sales, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams. As a Senior Logistic Analyst, it will be part of your responsibility to mentor and/or train inexperienced Logistic Analyst(s). Duties/Responsibilities: • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all logistics-related matters., • Follow up on prospective or current customers as far as upcoming assignments or potential new business, positioning us to be the supplier of choice., • Will be involved in training new Logistic Analyst candidates and be an internal resource for information and advice., • Understand client needs, objectives, and challenges to effectively position and promote the company's services., • Ability to quote effectively and efficiently all business, staying within the established billing parameters., • Ability to search, find and utilize vendors through various load boards and our TMS software., • Communicate with vetted Pickup vendors including but not limited to, shipment handling requirements and instructions, equipment list/weights, pallet labels, pick up dates/times, customer contacts, equipment, and packing materials needed for the job., • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services to existing customers to maximize revenue., • Establish contact with the vendor to provide written instructions, directions, and any nuances to the account., • Monitor current pricing to ensure that we are market competitive to utilize while quoting business., • Train, manage and monitor vendors using our scanning software and scanners., • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of freight forwarding services., • Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely pickup and resolving any issues that may arise., • Make financial and service decisions for your region while accepting accountability for outcomes., • Maintain clear and effective communication channels with clients, providing regular updates on shipment status, delays, and other relevant information., • Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally., • Investigate and analyze service issues, participate, and implement corrective actions, and communicate resolutions to clients., • Maintain a proactive approach to customer service, anticipating client needs and providing proactive solutions., • Adhere and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned accounts or regions, such as revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction., • Ensure accurate and timely billing to client., • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field or equivalent work history or at least seven (7) years of direct experience in transportation, dispatching, account management or prior freight forwarding experience., • Knowledge and experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards, • Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development within the freight forwarding or logistics industry., • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations and processes, industry trends, transportation modes and understanding customer needs., • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-making., • Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations., • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities., • High integrity, team player, collaborative style and results oriented., • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment., • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel.
