POSITION SUMMARY The Director, US Internal Warehousing is responsible for leading internal warehouse operations across Lassonde's U.S. manufacturing network, with direct accountability for warehouse performance in the New Jersey and North Carolina plants. Based out of the Cherry Hill, NJ office, this leader partners closely with Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Quality, Safety, and Plant Leadership to deliver safe, efficient, compliant, and seamless warehouse flows that support production, customer service, inventory accuracy, and cost objectives. This role will play a critical leadership role in the transition of plant warehouse operations into Lassonde's newly built Seabrook, New Jersey facility, while also leading warehouse flow optimization activities in North Carolina following recent manufacturing line expansions. The successful candidate will bring a strong bias for operational execution, people leadership, process discipline, and cross-functional collaboration within a food and beverage manufacturing environment. Up to 40% travel required *Must live within commutable distance to our Cherry Hill, NJ office or Seabrook, NJ facility. Primary Responsibilities Include: Warehouse Operations Leadership • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and accountability for internal warehouse operations supporting the New Jersey and North Carolina manufacturing plants., • Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of receiving, storage, inventory management, material handling, production replenishment, staging, and shipping support activities., • Establish operational goals and performance standards to achieve service, safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives., • Lead and develop warehouse leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement., • Directly manage and develop a team of 2-3 warehouse leaders supporting plant operations. Network Optimization & Strategic Projects • Lead the successful transition of warehouse operations into Lassonde's newly constructed Seabrook, NJ manufacturing facility, including process design, operational readiness, inventory migration, staffing, systems alignment, and startup stabilization., • Drive warehouse flow optimization initiatives within the North Carolina facility following recent manufacturing line expansion., • Identify and implement opportunities to improve warehouse capacity, throughput, space utilization, material flow, labor productivity, and inventory accuracy across the U.S. manufacturing network., • Lead major warehouse improvement initiatives, capital projects, process redesign efforts, and organizational change management activities. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Integration • Partner closely with Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to create seamless end-to-end material and finished goods flows., • Ensure warehouse operations effectively support production schedules, service requirements, inventory availability, new product launches, and business growth objectives., • Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize inbound and outbound flow, dock scheduling, yard management, and shipping execution., • Serve as the primary warehouse operations liaison between plant leadership and corporate supply chain functions. Continuous Improvement & Performance Management • Develop, standardize, and sustain warehouse processes, operating procedures, KPI reporting, and management systems across assigned facilities., • Establish and monitor key performance indicators including inventory accuracy, material availability, labor productivity, safety performance, warehouse utilization, throughput, and service levels., • Utilize Lean principles, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making to drive operational excellence and eliminate waste., • Benchmark best practices and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance warehouse performance and scalability. Safety, Quality & Compliance • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA requirements, food safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements., • Ensure warehouse operations support product quality, inventory integrity, traceability, sanitation, and customer compliance expectations., • Partner with Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and Human Resources teams to proactively address risks, compliance requirements, and employee relations matters., • Support labor relations activities as needed; experience working within unionized environments is considered an asset. Additional Responsibilities • Provides regular updates to the Vice President, Logistics, North America regarding warehouse performance, risks, and opportunities., • Supports special projects, operational transitions, warehouse optimization initiatives, and network improvement activities., • Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • Directly manages warehouse leadership supporting operations in New Jersey and North Carolina., • Coaches and develops leaders to drive performance, engagement, and accountability., • Ensures alignment of goals, objectives, and performance expectations across facilities., • Supports hiring, performance management, succession planning, and organizational development efforts. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field., • 15+ years of progressive warehouse, logistics, distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing operations experience, including leadership responsibility within a plant, warehouse, or distribution environment., • 10+ years of people leadership experience, including leading salaried leaders and hourly teams in a fast-paced operational environment., • Demonstrated experience improving warehouse flows, material handling processes, inventory accuracy, labor productivity, and service performance., • Strong understanding of warehouse operations supporting manufacturing, including inbound materials, production replenishment, finished goods staging, inventory control, picking, shipping, and dock operations., • Proven ability to lead complex operational projects, transitions, start-ups, expansions, or major process changes while maintaining business continuity., • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Logistics, Planning, Quality, Safety, Engineering, Finance, and Human Resources teams., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, influencing, and change leadership skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP, WMS, inventory management, reporting, or warehouse performance systems preferred., • Ability to travel regularly to plant locations in New Jersey and North Carolina, with additional travel as business needs require, up to 40%. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in the food and beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or regulated manufacturing industry., • Experience working in unionized environments or partnering with union representatives., • Experience supporting plant start-ups, warehouse transitions, network changes, line expansions, or material flow redesigns., • Knowledge of food safety, quality, sanitation, traceability, and regulatory requirements relevant to beverage or food manufacturing operations., • Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other continuous improvement training or certification preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working within manufacturing and warehouse environments. FREQUENT: Sitting; upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure including extended periods of keyboard and mouse use; side-to-side turning of neck; walking; standing; bending and stooping; pushing/pulling; twisting at waist; moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials. OCCASIONAL: Squatting; kneeling; reaching above and at shoulder height; moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20-35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet. VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction. HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
