This is a permanent position that offers an exceptional opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes litigation cases within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector, particularly in issues related to landowners, royalty owners, leases, surface use agreements, title issues, and title deficiencies. The candidate should be well-versed in all aspects of dispute resolution, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Responsibilities • Represent clients in oil and gas litigation matters, including disputes involving landowners, royalty owners, leases, surface use agreements, title issues, and title deficiencies., • Conduct thorough and detailed research to identify legal issues, potential risks, and strategies for dispute resolution., • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including leases, surface use agreements, and settlement agreements., • Advise clients on the legal implications of their business decisions and strategies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations., • Participate in all phases of litigation, from initiation to resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trial, and appeal., • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with timely and relevant updates on their cases., • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school., • Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania., • 2-5 years of experience in oil and gas litigation, with a focus on representing landowners and royalty owners, • Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills., • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a keen attention to detail., • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful dispute resolution., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders., • High level of professionalism and ethical standards, with a commitment to client confidentiality.
