Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Rheumatologist to join our specialty care team and provide comprehensive outpatient care for adults with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions. This role focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of diseases such as inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, vasculitis, crystal arthropathies, and metabolic bone diseases. The Rheumatologist works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team to deliver evidence based, patient centered care that improves quality of life and long term disease management. This role also supports coordinated care with primary care providers and other specialists while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and patient education efforts. Essential Responsibilities • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of rheumatologic and autoimmune diseases including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, vasculitis, and metabolic bone diseases, • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence based clinical guidelines, • Provide ongoing disease monitoring, medication management, and patient education to support long term disease control, • Prescribe and manage disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic therapies, and other advanced treatment options, • Order, conduct, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostics within scope of practice, • Coordinate care with primary care providers, advanced practice providers, infusion services, and other specialists, • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record, • Complete patient related tasks, documentation, and billing in accordance with organizational policies, • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, population health programs, and performance improvement activities, • Support clinic operations through timely documentation, care coordination, and prior authorization activities, • Provide consultation or clinical collaboration with advanced practice providers as appropriate, • Participate in teaching, mentoring, or precepting activities for learners or staff when applicable, • Promote teamwork, professionalism, adaptability, and TFHC’s mission and values, • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school, • Completion of an accredited Rheumatology Fellowship, • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology, • Board eligible candidates must obtain certification within two years of employment, • Active or eligible for unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida, • Active DEA license, • Current BLS certification, • Completion of rheumatology fellowship required, • New graduates are welcome to apply, • Ability to work effectively with diverse social, ethnic, and economic populations, • Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex autoimmune conditions, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, • Ability to navigate and document in electronic health record systems, • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skills, • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Annual Licensing Stipend, • Life and Disability Insurance offerings, • Generous PTO and 7 paid company holidays, • 401(k) program with employer contribution after one year, • Company paid Malpractice Insurance with Tail Coverage, • Professional development and continuing education support Join Us If you are passionate about delivering high quality specialty care and want to make a meaningful impact in community healthcare, we encourage you to apply today and join Tampa Family Health Centers.
