Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Security Officer Shift Supervisor to provide Security for an Industrial Manufacturing Plant located in: Owensboro, KY $20.00 to $21.00 per hour Open & Closing Dates: 11/01/2025 to 12/15/2025Benefits • Comprehensive Benefits for Full-Time Employees, • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Life & AD&D Insurance, • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity Coverage, • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – confidential support for you and your family, • Travel Assistance Program – resources and help while away from home, • Benefits are available for both employees and their families., • Financial & Time-Off Benefits, • 401(k) Retirement Program – invest in your future, • Paid Time Off (PTO) – vacation and personal days, • Sick Leave – provided in accordance with state laws (Kentucky does not mandate), • DailyPay – access your earned wages faster, with our standard weekly payroll cycle still in place, • Employee Referral Program – earn bonuses when you refer qualified candidates who join our team and meet program requirementsDuties, • (Supervision and Leadership), • Oversee and direct the activities of security officers on duty during the shift., • Assign posts, patrol routes, and special duties as needed., • Ensure officers are properly equipped, briefed, and performing their duties correctly., • Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members., • Act as the first point of contact for officers needing support or clarification., • (Shift Briefings and Handover), • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate updates, assignments, and safety information., • Review incidents from the previous shift and ensure follow-up actions are completed., • Prepare and deliver shift handovers to the next supervisor for continuity of operations., • (Incident Management), • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents (fire, medical, security breaches, etc.)., • Coordinate the response of on-site personnel and liaise with emergency services if required., • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all incidents., • Conduct initial investigations and gather statements or evidence., • (Reporting and Documentation), • Prepare daily shift reports summarizing events, patrols, and officer performance., • Review and approve incident and activity reports written by officers., • Maintain accurate records of attendance, equipment usage, and patrol logs., • (Quality Control and Compliance), • Ensure all security operations follow company policies, client procedures, and legal standards., • Inspect posts and patrol areas to confirm officers are alert, professional, and present., • Check security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control) for proper functioning., • Verify that all safety and security measures are in place and enforced., • (Communication and Coordination), • Serve as the communication link between security management, officers, and client representatives., • Communicate any major incidents or concerns to management immediately., • Work collaboratively with other departments (maintenance, facilities, HR, etc.) when security issues arise., • (Administrative and Operational Support), • Manage shift rosters and fill in for absences when necessary., • Ensure that all equipment (radios, keys, vehicles) is accounted for and in good condition., • Assist in the training and orientation of new security officers., • Participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when required., • (Leadership Qualities and Skills), • Strong leadership and decision-making under pressure., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Good knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and company policies., • Integrity, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality., • Basic computer and report-writing skills.Minimum Qualifications & Requirements, • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional Security Shift Supervisor experience, • 5 + years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, or Military (preferred), • Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing environments (preferred), • Unarmed positions - no firearm license required, • Excellent communication, situational awareness, and reliability, • Must pass a background check and Citadel Security USA onboarding, • Professional appearance (tan pants, black boots, Citadel uniform shirt provided), • Must be able and or willing to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as neededWhy Join Citadel Security USA?At Citadel Security USA, you’re more than a uniform — you’re part of a mission-driven team dedicated to protecting people, property, and communities while advancing your career.
