Job details: \n Job title: Senior Manager - Strategic Sourcing \n Duration:: 6 Months (CONTRACT) \n Location:: 788 Circle 75 Parkway SE Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30339 (ONSITE) \n Shift:: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday (8AM - 5:00PM) \n \n Brief about the role: \n We are seeking a results-driven Senior Manager, Field Procurement Operations, to lead operational procurement execution for the Field Business Unit. The Field business operates with more than 3,500 suppliers, over 120 branches, and approximately 1,100 requisitioners. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Procurement, this role will balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership across purchasing execution, procure-to-pay process governance, spend compliance, supplier performance, subcontractor compliance, procurement technology adoption, and stakeholder experience. The successful candidate will lead a team of buyers supporting high-volume, low-value field purchasing while partnering closely with Strategic Sourcing, Accounts Payable, IT, Operations, Legal, Safety, and third-party qualification providers to deliver savings, process efficiency, risk mitigation, improved subcontractor compliance, and a world-class procurement experience \n \n Essential Functions \n\n • Lead day-to-day Field Procurement Operations, ensuring purchasing activity is efficient, accurate, compliant, customer-focused, and aligned with business priorities.\n, • Own and continuously improve operational procurement processes across the procure-to-pay lifecycle, including requisition intake, purchase order execution, supplier onboarding support, invoice exception resolution, user support, and issue escalation.\n, • Drive spend compliance to established supply chain strategies, preferred supplier programs, catalog solutions, purchasing policies, and internal control requirements.\n, • Deliver the annual savings target for the Field Procurement Operations team through compliant sourcing support, low-value field purchase negotiations, supplier consolidation, demand management, and long-tail spend optimization.\n, • Partner with Strategic Sourcing, PSM Leadership, Operations, Finance, Accounts Payable, IT, Legal, and other stakeholders to align operational execution with category strategies, business goals, and compliance requirements.\n, • Lead subcontractor compliance efforts in partnership with Legal, Safety, internal branch teams, suppliers, and third-party qualification providers to improve adherence to company standards, contractual requirements, safety expectations, and regulatory obligations.\n, • Develop, implement, and optimize procurement processes, tools, workflows, catalog adoption, reporting, and user enablement to improve operational effectiveness and requisitioner experience.\n, • Monitor operational KPIs and performance trends, including PO cycle time, catalog utilization, policy compliance, maverick spend, supplier consolidation, supplier onboarding cycle time, invoice/PO exception rate, savings delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction.\n, • Prepare clear performance reports, dashboards, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans to support decision-making, governance, and leadership reviews.\n, • Manage supplier performance, business continuity, and supplier risk activities in partnership with PSM Leadership, internal stakeholders, and third-party qualification providers.\n, • Identify supplier performance gaps and develop supplier corrective action, recovery, and escalation plans to support service continuity, compliance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.\n, • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, import/export requirements, trade compliance expectations, and applicable audit controls.\n, • Host regular stakeholder feedback sessions to understand field needs, resolve pain points, communicate process expectations, and implement action plans that improve team performance and service delivery.\n, • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives that reduce transaction costs, improve process consistency, strengthen controls, and enhance procurement adoption across the branch network.\n, • Manage, coach, and develop the purchasing operations team, fostering accountability, performance, collaboration, customer service, and professional growth.\n, • Perform other duties as assigned.\n\n \n Skills Preferred: \n\n • Proven experience leading procurement operations, purchasing execution, or procure-to-pay functions in a high-volume, decentralized, multi-site environment.\n, • Strong understanding of end-to-end procure-to-pay processes, including requisitioning, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, invoice exceptions, vendor master coordination, internal controls, and audit readiness.\n, • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic initiatives with operational execution, escalation management, stakeholder service, and team leadership.\n, • Strong knowledge of spend management, pricing structures, commercial terms, supplier performance, market dynamics, cost drivers, supply chain risk, and business continuity practices.\n, • Experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, catalog tools, spend data analytics, dashboarding, reporting, eSourcing, eAuctions, and contract management systems.\n, • Ability to define, monitor, and improve procurement KPIs such as PO cycle time, catalog adoption, compliance rate, supplier onboarding cycle time, invoice exception rate, maverick spend, savings delivery, and customer satisfaction.\n, • Experience supporting branch, field service, retail, construction, MRO, manufacturing, or other high-volume operational environments with multiple internal customers and sites.\n, • Skilled in change management, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and adoption of standardized procurement tools and policies.\n, • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and influence stakeholders at all levels.\n, • Strong managerial, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.\n, • Proactive, dynamic, data-driven, and self-directed, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to deliver results through collaboration and accountability.\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle or similar ERP systems, and advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables, lookups, reporting, charting, and data analysis.\n, • High level of integrity, sound judgment, dependability, and commitment to compliant and ethical procurement practices.\n\n \n Required Experience: \n\n • 7+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing operations, supply chain, strategic sourcing, supplier management, shared services, accounts payable or a related field.\n, • 3+ years of experience leading teams, programs, or operational procurement functions in a managerial or senior leadership capacity\n, • Experience supporting decentralized, high-volume, multi-site, branch, field service, construction, MRO, manufacturing, retail, or similar operational environments.\n\n \n Required Education, Certification & Training: \n \n Required: \n\n • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\n \n Preferred: \n\n • MBA or master’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field.\n, • Professional certification preferred, such as CPSM, CIPS, APICS/CSCP, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP, or relevant procurement systems/platform training.\n, • Experience or training with Oracle, Jaggaer, Power BI, advanced Excel or procurement analytics platforms.\n\n \n Language Skills: \n\n • Able to
