MISSION: (The essence of the job)We are seeking a reliable and professional Cartage Driver to transport musical equipment and gear (Cartage) between locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. In addition to driving responsibilities, the role includes occasional support with customer service coverage and general studio operations.Requirements: OUTCOMES: (What must get done and how will we measure success) • Safely transport musical instruments, audio equipment, and other gear to and from client locations in the agreed upon timeframe, • Load and unload equipment with care, ensuring proper handling and secure placement, • Plan and optimize delivery routes to reduce travel time and increase efficiency while following all traffic laws and studio safety protocols, • Ensure clients are kept informed about time-sensitive deliveries, including estimated arrival times and any unexpected delays, • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure equipment is set up to the client’s exact specifications, • Ensure cartage vehicles are fueled, clean, and safe for road travel by conducting basic inspections and reporting any maintenance needs to the Cartage Manager, • Assist with phone coverage, including answering calls, taking messages, and providing basic information to clients CRITICAL • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, • Experience driving large vans or trucks (26 ft.) highly preferred, • Familiar with Nashville’s roadways, and safe driving practices highly preferred, • Familiar with basic logistics and warehousing concepts, operating pallet jacks, using ratchet straps, etc., • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 lbs., • Basic knowledge of musical equipment is a plus, • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed, • Professional, punctual, and detail oriented, • A passion for live entertainment, • Strong ability to work with people and form relationships, • Open to continuous learning in a dynamic environment, willingness to pivot as business needs shift, • Ability to remain calm in difficult and/or complex situations and maintain an action oriented, problem-solving mindset, • Frequent moving and lifting equipment and boxes up to 50 lbs., • Frequent walking throughout campus but may remain stationary for long periods of time, • Frequent use of manual dexterity to type, access files, and handle supplies We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
