Job DescriptionDescription: · Supervise and care for residents on daily basis according to your work list and assignment · Provide assistance with activities of daily living according to resident’s individualized Care Plan, regarding bathing, shower, shampoo, if necessary, make bed, linens, escorts, assistance with dressing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair and fingernail care if needed · Observe and record assistance with prescribed medications, as per assignment · Report refusals and/or reactions to care or medications to supervisor on duty · Direct residents and family members to appropriate staff for other needs or information · Assist with ordering room service for residents, when needed · Report and record observations of change in resident condition to director/ supervisor and transfer relevant information to the next shift through the 24-hour shift report · Be patient and understanding when communicating with staff, residents, and visitors. Speak slowly and clearly · Provide assistance in dining room, as needed · Answer emergency calls PROMPTLY and courteously, and complete required paperwork afterward · Retrieve soiled linen and personal clothing from resident living areas. Sort and pre-soak linens, as required, before processing through washing machines, per resident’s Plan of Care · Responsible for general upkeep and cleanliness of a resident’s apartment/ room. This food service position is part-time and will be required to work two weekends on and one weekend off. Where scheduling allows, you may work every other weekend.
