A prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly skilled Attorney Support Assistant to join their Downtown Houston office. Position: Attorney Support Assistant Location: Houston, TX (Downtown) Compensation: $85,000 ? $95,000 base salary, plus performance-based bonuses Benefits: Exceptional benefits package including paid parking, medical, dental, and vision insurance Position Overview The Attorney Support Assistant will provide high-level administrative and technical support to attorneys and their clients, ensuring seamless coordination of tasks and communications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and strong judgment while handling complex tasks with precision. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate complex internal and external meetings, including conference calls and senior-level engagements * Manage attorney calendars and prioritize scheduling needs * Make domestic and international travel arrangements; process related business expense requests * Handle phone support, direct calls, and relay messages per attorney preferences * Provide high-quality client service; respond to and follow up on client requests * Create, revise, and format legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations * Proofread and finalize documents for submission or distribution * Open new matters and assist with engagement letters, conflicts checks, and matter management * Assist with client billing, including coordination of monthly billing cycles * Enter attorney time using InTapp and Elite 3E * Conduct internet research as requested by attorneys * Maintain paper and electronic files in compliance with firm standards * Foster and maintain positive, professional relationships with internal teams and clients * Perform additional duties as assigned by attorneys or management Qualifications and Experience * Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal or professional services environment, preferably supporting attorneys or executives * Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Familiarity with legal-specific technology and document management systems preferred * Experience with billing systems and time entry platforms such as Elite 3E and InTapp * Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize competing deadlines, and work well under pressure * High degree of professionalism and interpersonal effectiveness with all levels of staff and clients * Familiarity with ?Big Law? culture or large firm operations highly desirable Education * College degree preferred #HOUDT42 #ZRCompany DescriptionAbout Burnett Specialists Burnett Specialists is a top-ranked, 100% employee-owned recruiting firm with over 50 years of expertise in connecting top talent with exceptional companies.
