Position Overview Bastion Insurance Group is seeking an Account Executive, Property and Casualty, to serve as the primary client service contact for an assigned portfolio of middle-market commercial P&C accounts. This is a senior service role with full accountability for client retention, renewal marketing and placement, coverage analysis, and day-to-day account management. The Account Executive manages the complete renewal cycle independently, maintains strong carrier and market relationships, and delivers a high-touch advisory experience to each client. Bastion uses Applied Epic for agency management and Resource Pro for client servicing support, allowing the Account Executive to focus on relationship management and strategic client advisory. Key Responsibilities: Client Service and Relationship Management: • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of middle-market commercial P&C accounts., • Conduct pre-renewal, renewal, and stewardship meetings with clients to review exposures, identify coverage gaps, and align programs with evolving risk profiles and business needs., • Respond to client inquiries, coverage questions, and service requests accurately and within established timeframes., • Assist clients during the claims process by coordinating with carriers and advocating on the client's behalf as appropriate., • Identify opportunities for account rounding and cross-line coverage enhancements, and communicate those recommendations to clients proactively., • Coordinate with Resource Pro and internal support staff on certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits, and routine policy administration. Renewal Marketing and Placement: • Manage the complete renewal process for each assigned account, including exposure gathering, application preparation, and submission to appropriate carrier and wholesale markets., • Market accounts to carriers and wholesale markets, negotiate coverage terms and pricing, and analyze and compare quotes to develop coverage recommendations., • Present renewal proposals and coverage recommendations to clients clearly and professionally, with supporting data and market context where applicable., • Bind coverage, process policy issuance, and review policies for accuracy upon receipt from carriers., • Monitor renewal expirations across the assigned book and maintain proactive client communication to ensure no lapse in coverage. Coverage Analysis and Technical Advisory: • Review client insurance programs for adequacy, accuracy, and alignment with current exposures and contractual requirements., • Identify and communicate coverage gaps, emerging risks, and market developments relevant to each client's program., • Prepare and present coverage summaries, loss analysis, and stewardship reports as needed., • Maintain current knowledge of commercial P&C coverage lines, carrier appetite, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting middle market clients. Agency Operations and Compliance: • Process applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, audits, and all related account documentation accurately and within required timeframes., • Maintain complete and accurate client records, correspondence, and activity logs in Applied Epic in accordance with agency standards., • Adhere to agency errors and omissions (E&O) protocols and compliance standards in all client interactions, documentation, and coverage decisions., • Comply with continuing education requirements for P&C licensure and any applicable professional designations., • Utilize AI and technology tools to improve efficiency across client communication, renewal preparation, and workflow management. Qualifications: Required: • 5+ years of commercial Property and Casualty insurance experience in an agency or brokerage environment, with direct middle market account responsibility; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered., • Active Property and Casualty insurance license in Texas, or ability to obtain prior to start date., • Demonstrated experience managing and servicing middle market commercial P&C accounts through the full renewal cycle, including marketing, placement, and client presentation., • Working knowledge of commercial P&C lines, including general liability, commercial property, commercial auto, workers' compensation, umbrella/excess, and professional liability., • Proficiency with Applied Epic or a comparable agency management system., • Established carrier and wholesale market relationships across commercial P&C lines., • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present coverage recommendations clearly and confidently to clients., • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously, and a demonstrated commitment to E&O compliance. Preferred: • Experience with Resource Pro or a comparable outsourced client servicing platform., • Specialty line experience in construction, real estate, healthcare, or manufacturing., • CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), or comparable professional designation., • Familiarity with commercial lines compliance requirements and agency E&O best practices.
