Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (Adult ER) Location: Rochester, New York Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Requirements • Active New York State RN License required, • Minimum Emergency Room experience required, • Epic EMR experience required, • First-time travelers accepted, • NIHSS certification must be valid at submissionRequired Certifications, • BLS, • ACLS, • NIHSSSchedule, • 3x12 Hour Shifts, • Mid/Night Rotation:, • 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, • Every other weekend required, • Every other holiday required, as neededJob Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced adult emergency department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in emergency assessment, triage, critical care interventions, trauma management, and stabilization of patients presenting with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions. Responsibilities • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity, • Triage and manage adult emergency patients with medical, surgical, neurological, cardiac, and traumatic conditions, • Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and vasopressors, • Initiate and maintain peripheral and central intravenous access, • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias, • Manage patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator support, • Provide emergency care for stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic trauma, • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR, • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes, • Follow infection prevention, isolation, and patient safety protocolsRequired Clinical Skills, • Emergency Department nursing, • Adult and pediatric emergency care, • Triage and patient prioritization, • Blood product administration, • Central line care and management, • IV starts and maintenance, • IV vasopressor administration, • Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, • Ventilator management, • CPAP/BiPAP therapy, • Stroke and neurological emergency care, • Trauma and critical care nursing, • Phlebotomy, • Isolation precautions For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807.
