A premier destination resort in Upstate New York is seeking an accomplished Associate Director of Catering to join its expanding hospitality team. This senior-level leader will play a key role in driving catering sales and event execution across one of the region’s most dynamic resort properties, which includes multiple hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The Associate Director of Catering will lead a talented team, oversee complex events, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance guest satisfaction and overall profitability. Compensation: $175,000 - $215,000 (base salary of up to $125k plus uncapped quarterly commission) + Comprehensive health benefits, 401(k) with company match, PTO, dining discounts, relocation assistance, and more. Key Responsibilities: • Direct all catering and conference services efforts, ensuring flawless execution of corporate, convention, and social events., • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team., • Partner closely with the Director of Sales, Culinary, and Banquet Operations to maximize F&B revenues and guest satisfaction., • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve a $25M+ annual goal, including growth in high-end galas and weddings., • Oversee all BEOs, group resumes, and event diagrams, maintaining exceptional attention to detail across departments., • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Revenue Management, F&B, Events, and Operations) to drive total event revenue and profitability., • Maintain strong client relationships from initial contact through post-event follow-up, ensuring repeat and referral business., • Analyze market trends and team performance to inform tactical planning, goal setting, and budget development. Must-Haves: • 7+ years of catering, conference services, or group sales leadership in a high-volume, full-service hospitality environment., • Proven sales background with strong upselling and revenue optimization skills across F&B, ancillary services, and event enhancements., • Proven ability to manage large-scale event operations exceeding 600 events annually across 50,000+ sq. ft. of meeting and function space., • Strong leadership experience overseeing multi-level teams., • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills., • Financial acumen, including forecasting, labor management, and P&L accountability. The Certified Yoga Instructor will also serve as a resource to educate members on the value of a strong and consistent yoga practice. Major Responsibilities: Pre-class Preparation: Arrive at class location 10 to 15 minutes ahead of scheduled start time to be available to interact with members, answer questions, inquire about their yoga practice and experience, introduce and orient new participants. Yoga Instructors should know their participants on an individual basis and have a good sense of their capabilities and objectives. Clothing should be appropriate yoga attire. It should not prohibit participants from seeing proper form, alignment and movement of the body. However, clothing should not be revealing in an inappropriate manner. When possible, Instructors should wear Golds Gym branded attire. Proper footwear should be worn at all times. Prepare appropriate music for class. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and have microphones ready. During Class Responsibilities: • Introduce yourself and the format of the class., • Inquire if there are any first-timers in the group and if so, assess their ability level in as private a manner as possible., • Make sure all verbal instructions are clear and that the volume, tempo of music and overall atmosphere is conducive to hearing, teaching, learning and having fun., • Continually monitor participants to ensure all participants are using correct form. Offer variations of the routine to accommodate all ability levels., • Create a motivational and fun environment for all participants.After Class Responsibilities:, • Remove all music and return microphone to proper place., • Make sure room is in order for the next class to begin., • Answer any questions/concerns participants may have., • Solicit feedback from participants about the class.Additional Responsibilities:, • Make sure that class begins and ends promptly. If necessary, make adjustments to the flow of the class to ensure adherence to the schedule., • If the Instructor is teaching the last class of the day, please follow proper closing procedures as outlined by the Group Exercise Director for the individual facility., • In the event that a Instructor cannot fulfill a scheduled class, it is his/her responsibility to find a qualified/approved substitute and notify the Group Exercise Director if there is a problem finding a substitute., • Instructors must be dependable and consistent in their class schedules.
