We are currently seeking experienced and professional full-time candidates to join our team. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Shipping Lead position. The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations, ensuring all orders are accurately processed, packaged, and shipped on time. This role coordinates shipping activities, manages workflow within the shipping department, and supports team members to meet production and delivery deadlines. The Shipping Lead plays a key role in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and organization across all outbound shipments, including standard orders, kitting projects, and time-sensitive deliveries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Lead and oversee daily shipping operations to ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment · Coordinate shipment scheduling, prioritization, and workflow based on production timelines · Verify completed jobs against job tickets, packing lists, and customer requirements · Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for carrier pickup · Coordinate with production, kitting, and finishing teams to ensure jobs are ready for shipment · Train new employees on shipping processes, systems, and quality standards · Ensure accurate use of shipping systems and documentation (labels, BOLs, packing slips) · Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight providers) to schedule pickups and resolve issues · Monitor shipping deadlines and escalate risks to management as needed · Maintain organization of shipping area including staging, labeling, and shipment flow · Ensure proper handling of high-priority, expedited, or time-sensitive shipments · Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of quantities, labeling, and shipment contents · Troubleshoot shipping issues including missing items, incorrect shipments, or delays · Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and materials · Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures · Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce shipping errors · Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Strong understanding of shipping, logistics, and fulfillment processes · Ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously · Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy · Leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a team · Ability to read and interpret job tickets, packing lists, and shipping documentation · Strong organizational and time management skills · Problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues quickly and effectively · Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external carriers · Basic computer skills including shipping software and tracking systems · Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Qualifications – Education, Experience, License/Certifications: · High school diploma or equivalent required · 1-3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or fulfillment operations required · Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred · Experience in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment preferred · Experience working with shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, freight carriers) required Physical Requirements · Standing/Walking: The operator must be able to stand for long periods while working with the cutting table, adjusting settings, and overseeing production processes. This requires stamina and the ability to move around the equipment and workspace efficiently. · Lifting/Carrying: The job requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds, such as large sheets of printed material, tools, and equipment needed for the cutting process. · Manual Dexterity: The role requires excellent hand-eye coordination for operating the cutting table and handling materials with precision. Operators must also be able to perform quality checks, adjust settings, and make quick adjustments while maintaining focus on accuracy. · Repetitive Motion: The operator will perform repetitive tasks such as feeding materials into the machine, operating controls, and making minor adjustments. The ability to maintain efficiency and accuracy during repetitive motions is important. · Vision: Strong visual acuity is necessary to monitor the cutting process, perform quality checks, and read job tickets and specifications to ensure all dimensions and cuts are correct. · Mechanical Skills: A solid understanding of mechanical systems is essential for setting up, operating, and maintaining the digital cutting table, with potential for troubleshooting and performing minor repairs. · Safety and Ergonomics: The operator will be responsible for the safe operation of the equipment and maintaining a clean work area. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring proper ergonomics to reduce physical strain during long hours of operation. · Environment Adaptability: The position may involve working in environments with varying temperatures, depending on the facility. The operator should be prepared to adjust to different working conditions, including indoor environments with machines and equipment that may generate heat. · Communication: The operator will need to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other employees to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that arise during production. Compensation: The base compensation range for this full-time position is $22 - $28 per hour plus benefits. Compensation ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position.
