Job Description Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Job Description This role supports manufacturing operations by managing production control activities and shipping and receiving functions. You will create and maintain work orders, perform production and inventory transactions in the ERP system, support component fulfillment, and help ensure that production schedules are met. You will also provide documentation and materials support while following Good Manufacturing Practices and company procedures in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Complete all production and inventory-related transactions in the ERP system (QAD) accurately and in a timely manner., • Support component backflush to work orders and process work order completions using QAD transactions., • Assist the Materials team with Kanban component fulfillment to ensure production lines have required materials., • Provide work order support to meet released production schedules and assist in prioritizing production activities., • Analyze and help resolve inventory discrepancies in production control and finished goods areas., • Work with leadership to maintain and update production schedules and related reports., • Become fully cross-trained in all production control activities to provide flexible support across the department., • Provide back-up coverage for Materials Handling, Shipping, and Receiving functions as needed., • Perform production control activities under direct supervision and independently resolve routine issues., • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production control and material handling tasks., • Comply with all written company policies and procedures related to production, inventory, and shipping and receiving., • Support warehouse operations including work order processing, material movement, and cycle counts. Essential Skills • High school diploma (HS Diploma)., • Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment., • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, including QAD or similar platforms, for production and inventory transactions., • Experience with shipping systems such as FedEx Ship Manager., • Proficiency in shipping and receiving operations, including accurate verification of incoming counts., • Experience with work orders and production control processes in a warehouse or manufacturing setting., • Ability to perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy., • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems., • Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and adhere to written policies and procedures., • Capability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and support materials handling, shipping, and receiving functions. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in a production control or materials role within a manufacturing environment., • Familiarity with Kanban systems and component fulfillment processes., • Comfort working within a warehouse setting, including handling finished goods and production materials., • Ability to work under direct supervision while also solving routine issues independently., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory transactions and receiving activities., • Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, materials, and management teams. The role involves typical warehouse activities, including handling materials, supporting cycle counts, and performing shipping and receiving functions. Work is conducted under established Good Manufacturing Practices and written company policies and procedures, within a structured, process-driven setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
