This role is responsible for leading shipping coordinators and logistics teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards in packaging, delivery, inventory management, and vendor performance. Acting as both an on-site leader and strategic partner, the manager drives continuous improvement in logistics efficiency, operational accuracy, and patient service outcomes. Schedule Details • Location: On-Site Site rotation between Laguna Hills and Orange, • Hours: 8-hour shifts / 40 hours per week, • Days of Operation:, • Monday to Friday: Between 6:00 AM 6:00 PM Team Leadership & Site Oversight • Supervise Shipping Care Coordinators, Shipping & Receiving Coordinators, and Technicians across the Laguna Hills and Orange locations., • Provide leadership, performance feedback, and hands-on training to support team development., • Manage staffing, shift scheduling, and coverage to meet production demands and maintain uninterrupted shipping operations., • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments., • Coordinate all aspects of packaging, labeling, staging, and carrier pickup/drop-off logistics., • Serve as the escalation point for courier-related issues, shipment delays, or incomplete deliveries., • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records (BOLs, proof of delivery, logs) to ensure audit readiness., • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including HIPAA, DSCSA, DEA, and cold chain protocols., • Monitor courier performance (FedEx, UPS, LTL) and recommend improvements to service levels., • Manage physical inventory of shipping materials (ice packs, insulated kits, labels, etc.) and coordinate restocking., • Identify inefficiencies in shipping workflows and collaborate with IT or leadership to implement automation or improvements., • Serve as the primary liaison between shipping, production, procurement, inventory, and intake teams., • Participate in system integrations, staff training, and cross-functional meetings to align on shipping priorities., • 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics, • 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role, • Strong knowledge of shipping systems (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip), • Familiarity with inventory control or ERP systems (e.g., Fishbowl, SAP, NetSuite), • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills, • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook, • Valid California drivers license and the ability to travel between locations Preferred Qualifications • Experience with HIPAA, DSCSA, and DEA handling protocols, • OSHA or DOT Hazmat certification, • Background in pharmacy distribution or medical supply chain operations, • Experience in healthcare or pharmacy logistics, including cold-chain or regulated shipping Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and move packages up to 70 lbs, • Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift, • Willingness to work in cold-chain environments as needed, • Ability to commute between Laguna Hills and Orange locations AmeriPharmas Mission Statement Our goal is to achieve superior clinical and economic outcomes while maintaining the utmost compassion and care for our patients.
