Resource & Referral - Pre-Kindergarten Project Specialist 100% Onsite - Location: Los Angeles, CA 90056 What We're Looking For: We are seeking a Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Project Specialist. The UPK Project Specialist will assist with the operational oversight, planning, facilitation, and reporting functions of the agency's UPK Program including administrative and clerical support; and will assist with communication to school districts, parents, child care providers, and collaborative partners, as needed. Role also includes UPK implementation of parent and provider workshops; participation in visibility events; facilitation of parent and provider UPK Cafés. All duties and responsibilities are preformed in accordance with specific contractual obligations, contract compliance and department standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist Program Coordinator in UPK scope of work deliverables; maintain program documentation and reporting; research and prepare for School Distract and partner meetings; and act as a bridge and resource to internal/external stakeholders., • Oversee and assist in the daily monitoring, marketing, tracking, and reporting of program data and information as required by contract, i.e., monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis., • Assist in ordering, maintaining, and tracking program supplies, translation services, equipment and other program purchases to ensure contract compliance., • Conduct outreach and marketing activities to promote UPK program and activities to internal-external stakeholders, i.e., drafting outreach emails, creating flyers, coordinating social media announcements, and engaging with community partners to boost attendance., • Keep abreast of program participants, partners, and key stakeholders, via telephone, e-mail, in person meetings, and other electronic communication as needed., • Represent the department and agency at partner and/or community collaborations/meetings; support ongoing community partnerships and related UPK activities; coordinate meeting logistics and provide clerical support; and ensure that scope of work deliverables are met or exceeded., • Work in collaboration with Agency Leadership to assist with the planning and execution of UPK events, i.e., preparing and distributing event materials, securing venues, coordinating supplies, managing room setups, tracking attendance, and/or facilitate as needed., • Represent, coordinate and/or facilitate relevant meetings, workshops, Cafes, and events., • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as scheduled., • Perform other duties as assigned by R&R Leadership and/or Senior Management. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child/Human Development, or related field, or equivalent, preferred. Associate's degree acceptable with relevant, verifiable work experience required., • Previous experience in Early Childhood Education, child care, or Social Services preferred., • Experience planning, implementing, and coordinating projects that require collaboration with diverse groups preferred. In addition to coordinating resources that are age and developmentally appropriate and promote early learning and child development activities for children and/or adult learners. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must maintain a valid and current California Driver's License; have use of a motor vehicle; and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance, as requested.
