Stockton
Job Description ABOUT THE TEAM At Sierra Nevada Trailer Company, we take pride in providing customers with top-quality, American-made trailers backed by exceptional service and value. As an authorized Eagle Trailer Manufacturing dealer, we bring over 35 years of craftsmanship and reliability directly to our customers across Northern California and beyond. We're looking for a driven, people-focused individual ready to grow into a leadership role. This position offers a clear path from hands-on sales team member to GM as our business expands and ownership transitions focus to new locations. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Site Manager (with GM Growth Track), you'll work alongside ownership to master all aspects of our Stockton operation—sales, customer experience, inventory management, and team leadership—with the goal of eventually running the site independently. The Position Structure: First 120 Days (Probation Period): You'll work directly with ownership learning our systems, sales processes, customer base, and operational procedures while actively contributing to sales and daily operations. During this period, there will be overlap in responsibilities as we transition focus toward expansion locations—you may be involved in helping test and develop operational systems and procedures that aren't yet fully formalized. Post-Probation Opportunity (Performance-Dependent): Strong performance will lead to the potential opportunity to transition into a more independent GM role with a commission-based compensation structure on top of base compensation. Based on current sales volumes, target compensation would be ~$80,000+/year—with significant upside potential as the business grows and volume increases. Commission structure scales with performance, and we expect motivated, competent team members to drive substantial growth beyond current baseline. This transition is contingent on demonstrated performance, business readiness, and operational needs. This is a hands-on, sales-driven position where you'll spend most of your time actively selling trailers (phone, text, Facebook, and walk-ins), managing a small crew (1–3 people), and ensuring the lot runs smoothly and profitably. During the probation period, you'll have direct support and mentorship from ownership as they prepare for expansion to new locations. As systems are refined and expansion progresses, successful performers will have the potential opportunity to take on increasing autonomy in site operations, though the timeline and structure will depend on performance and business readiness. The ideal candidate is energetic, sales-minded, motivated by both customer satisfaction and results, and eager to prove themselves and grow into a management position. Compensation: • Probation Period (120 days): $54,000/year, • Post-Probation: Base + Commission (expected annual range: ~$80,000, depending on performance, with significant growth potential) Schedule: Thursday–Monday, 9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. (flexibility as needed) After-hours responsiveness (sales growth): While no off-hours availability is required or scheduled, sales team members may, at their discretion, respond to inbound sales inquiries (text, Facebook/Messenger, and phone) outside regular hours. Top performers typically reply promptly when they have free time, as speed-to-lead meaningfully increases close rates and commission. Any after-hours activity should focus on quick triage (answering basic questions, collecting lead info, setting appointments) with detailed follow-up during scheduled hours. YOU'RE EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE YOU WILL... • Own day-to-day lot sales: respond quickly to inbound phone, text, and Facebook leads, qualify prospects, quote trailers, and close deals both online and in person., • Learn and execute all sales paperwork accurately — contracts, deposits, titling, registration, and financing coordination — and maintain tight end-of-day money controls., • Manage and coach a small team (1–3 employees), set clear expectations, and maintain a positive, results-oriented culture (increasing responsibility as you progress through probation)., • Follow up on customer messages and sales leads outside standard business hours when needed to close high-value opportunities., • Oversee lot operations including inventory management, forklift unloading, trailer check-ins, and general organization., • Ensure an excellent customer experience — from first contact to final trailer hookup and safety walk-through., • Report daily and weekly performance metrics to management and provide insights on promotions, inventory, and process improvements., • Enforce safety, cash handling, and lockup procedures, maintaining a secure and compliant operation., • Potentially grow into increasing responsibility and autonomy as you demonstrate mastery of our systems and consistent sales performance, with the opportunity to help shape operational procedures during our transition phase. WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE... • You're comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round., • You have proven sales experience, ideally in a dealership, trailer, or equipment sales environment., • You're comfortable with forklift operation (or willing to become certified)., • You're tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM tools, email, Facebook Marketplace, and quoting programs., • You're highly reliable and precise with documentation, payments, and inventory tracking., • You have experience leading and motivating small teams, setting daily goals, and maintaining accountability (or demonstrate strong potential to develop these skills)., • You thrive working independently and don't need micromanagement to deliver strong results., • You're flexible, willing to respond to after-hours leads to maximize sales opportunities., • You communicate clearly and professionally, representing the brand with confidence and care., • You're organized, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment., • Follow all safety protocols for equipment, trailers, and forklift operation., • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record., • Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain one)., • Employment contingent upon successful background and driving record checks. YOU'LL LOVE WORKING AT SIERRA NEVADA TRAILER COMPANY BECAUSE... • You'll have the potential opportunity to grow into greater ownership and autonomy of the site based on performance, with direct impact on its success and growth., • We offer competitive pay with significant upside potential through our commission structure after probation., • You'll receive direct mentorship from ownership during your onboarding and training period., • You'll work with high-quality, American-made products that customers trust., • We foster a culture of respect, accountability, and teamwork, where performance is recognized and rewarded., • You'll be part of a growing network of sales locations built on a 35-year reputation of craftsmanship and reliability—and potentially be positioned to support expansion to new markets as the company grows.Company DescriptionAt Sierra Nevada Trailer Company, we take pride in providing customers with top-quality, American-made trailers backed by exceptional service and value.
