Who You Are: We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Nanny and Early Childhood Educator to support the cognitive, language, social, and physical development of our toddler. The ideal candidate will have an educational background in early childhood development or a related field, with hands-on experience in applying research-based learning methods tailored to infants. This role requires a proactive, patient, and discreet individual who is passionate about fostering early developmental skills and creating a safe, nurturing, and intellectually stimulating environment for the child. You are an educator at heart, dedicated to the early years of childhood development. You’re well-versed in the developmental milestones of toddlers and enjoy using a variety of methods to stimulate growth, including sensory play, guided interaction, and structured routines. You are a strong communicator who works well in partnership with parents, ensuring the family’s goals are aligned with the child’s developmental needs. Above all, you are flexible, calm, and creative in how you adapt to the evolving needs of both the infant and the family. You’re an energetic, passionate self starter who wants to make a difference in the world. What You’ll Do: • Toddler Cognitive and Physical Development:, • Implement research-backed Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or Pikler methods tailored for toddlers, focusing on self-led exploration and discovery., • Design activities that encourage sensory exploration, such as tactile play (e.g., textured fabrics, sensory bins), auditory engagement (e.g., music, rhythm toys), and visual stimulation (e.g., high-contrast images)., • Promote gross motor development through age-appropriate activities., • Track and record cognitive, language, physical, and social milestones (e.g., babbling, object permanence, crawling) using developmental checklists and observation notes., • Adjust activities and introduce new learning opportunities that align with the toddlers progress, ensuring that the child’s learning remains developmentally appropriate., • Design and execute a customized toddler curriculum, introducing early learning concepts such as object recognition, language acquisition, and early socialization., • Use repetition and multi-sensory learning to build familiarity with concepts such as colors, shapes, numbers, and sounds, while encouraging problem-solving through cause-and-effect play., • Engage in daily language development activities, such as reading aloud, singing, naming objects, and encouraging the infant’s babbling and first words through interactive conversation., • Facilitate the toddlers early social-emotional development by encouraging interactions with caregivers, promoting secure attachment, and fostering early communication skills., • Organize the learning environment to support exploration and safety, including rotating educational toys and creating spaces that stimulate curiosity while ensuring the area is baby-proofed., • Prepare educational materials that align with the toddlers developmental stage, such as soft books, sensory toys, and puzzles., • Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding the infant’s learning and development, offering suggestions and feedback on educational approaches to use at home., • Collaborate with parents to align educational and developmental goals, ensuring consistency in routines and reinforcement of learning experiences both in the home and during care., • Health & Safety:, • Adhere to all infant care safety protocols, including safe sleep practices, childproofing, and first aid procedures., • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred)., • 3+ years of experience as an early childhood educator, specifically working with toddlers., • Strong knowledge of child developmental milestones and methods such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar early childhood education approaches., • Certification in childcare, first aid, and CPR (required)., • Bilingual in English, Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean., • Compassionate, patient, and nurturing approach with a passion for fostering growth in toddlers., • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail., • The ability to adapt learning strategies to match the evolving needs of the child., • Tech-savvy, with an interest in using educational apps and tracking tools., • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing and working on a computer, • Nannying/Governess: 4 years (Preferred), • working in HNW/UHNW/High Profile environments: 4 years (Preferred) Language: • Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, or French (Preferred) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Preferred), • Night Shift (Preferred), • Overnight Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Santa Monica, CA 90404 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Santa Monica, CA 90404: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In personApplication settings Application method This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
