As Marketing Director, you will oversee all facets of marketing—brand, digital, content, lead generation, and franchise support—ensuring consistency, performance, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how the world perceives Jani-King and strengthening its position as the most recognized name in commercial cleaning franchising. Position Summary The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the strategic development, execution, and optimization of Jani-King International’s marketing initiatives across digital, traditional, and franchise channels. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role combines creative leadership with data-driven decision-making to enhance brand visibility, generate qualified leads, and support franchise growth worldwide. This position manages all aspects of corporate marketing—brand management, advertising, content development, digital marketing, automation, and analytics—while ensuring alignment across Sales, Operations, IT, and Franchise Development. The Marketing Director provides both strategic direction and hands-on leadership to internal staff and external partners, ensuring measurable impact and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing leader who is equally comfortable developing high-level strategy and executing details with precision. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to guide creative initiatives that deliver tangible results. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that align with corporate objectives, franchise development goals, and regional growth initiatives., • Lead annual marketing planning, forecasting, and budget management, ensuring effective resource allocation and ROI measurement., • Partner with senior leadership to translate business objectives into actionable marketing campaigns that drive measurable outcomes., • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning to refine strategy and identify growth opportunities., • Build alignment across departments to ensure marketing efforts reinforce Jani-King’s brand promise and growth goals. Digital Marketing & Demand Generation • Oversee all digital marketing channels, including paid search, display, retargeting, social media, and email campaigns., • Manage SEO/SEM programs, ensuring website visibility, performance, and lead conversion through optimized content and metadata., • Drive lead generation strategies that support franchise recruitment, national accounts, and regional office growth., • Implement data-driven testing and optimization practices to continuously improve campaign performance and ROI., • Ensure consistent online presence and message delivery across all Jani-King websites, microsites, and digital platforms. Brand & Content Leadership • Serve as the brand steward, maintaining Jani-King’s global identity across all media and communications., • Oversee creation of digital and print collateral, presentations, social media content, videos, and trade show materials., • Develop storytelling frameworks that showcase Jani-King’s people, performance, and impact., • Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to ensure content is on-brand, high-quality, and strategically aligned., • Uphold brand integrity in every internal and external touchpoint, reinforcing consistency, professionalism, and innovation. AI & Marketing Technology • Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude) to accelerate content development, analytics, and campaign automation., • Identify and deploy emerging MarTech platforms that improve workflow, personalization, and data accuracy., • Evaluate campaign results using data visualization dashboards and predictive analytics to refine strategy., • Promote a culture of innovation by integrating new technologies that enhance marketing efficiency and creativity. CRM, Automation & Analytics • Oversee HubSpot CRM utilization and marketing automation workflows in partnership with the GTM Systems & Enablement team., • Design and manage lead-nurture programs and email sequences that engage prospects and accelerate conversions., • Maintain high data integrity for lead tracking, segmentation, and attribution reporting., • Use GA4, HubSpot, and related tools to track KPIs, campaign ROI, and funnel performance., • Provide actionable insights to leadership, guiding budget decisions and strategic pivots based on performance metrics. Franchise & Internal Partnerships • Partner with regional and franchise leadership to deliver marketing guidance, campaigns, and materials that support local success., • Create and distribute marketing toolkits, brand templates, and best-practice resources for regional use., • Lead marketing training sessions for regional offices, focusing on social media strategy, brand standards, and lead-nurturing techniques., • Collaborate with Operations, Legal, and IT on initiatives that impact franchise communications, sponsorships, or public events. Team & Vendor Management • Lead and mentor a small, high-performing marketing team through coaching, accountability, and ongoing development., • Manage relationships with agencies, printers, photographers, videographers, and digital partners to ensure quality and cost control., • Establish project management systems and workflows to maintain visibility and on-time delivery of campaigns., • Foster a creative, collaborative, and results-oriented culture that aligns with Jani-King’s values of People, Pride, and Performance. What We’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration required; MBA preferred., • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity., • Regional or multi-unit franchise support experience is required, with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a franchise business model., • Commercial cleaning or facility services industry experience is strongly preferred., • Proven success in digital marketing, lead generation, and multi-channel campaign management., • Expertise with HubSpot, GA4, and marketing automation tools., • Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor partnerships., • Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into strategic action., • Familiarity with franchise or multi-location business models preferred., • Strong project management, budgeting, and leadership skills., • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities., • Tech-savvy, innovative thinker with a passion for emerging digital and AI marketing trends. Location and Environment This position is based at Jani-King International’s Corporate Headquarters in Addison, Texas, the central hub for the company’s global operations. As a senior member of the Corporate Operations team, the Marketing Director will work on-site daily to maintain visibility, accessibility, and alignment with executive leadership and cross-departmental teams. Collaboration is integral to this role, requiring frequent engagement with Sales, IT, Legal, and Operations to coordinate marketing strategy and execution. The work environment is professional, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, combining structured planning sessions with dynamic creative development. Expect a blend of strategic discussions, campaign reviews, and hands-on project oversight where your leadership directly impacts company growth and brand reputation. While this is primarily an office-based role, occasional travel may be required for industry conferences, franchise conventions, and special events.
