The PSS is a member of interdisciplinary teams participating in collaboratively supporting an individual’s self-defined and self-directed care. Support will be offered and provided to individuals with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health challenges who may also be living outdoors and who are participants of the Day Center. The PSS supports the individual being served by creating their own person-directed recovery plan and accomplishing goals towards their self-defined recovery journey plan. They provide a listening, nonjudgmental presence and connect individuals being served with a full range of community resources. The Multnomah County Behavioral Health Resource Center (BHRC) is an innovative model that has been led by peers and centers its values in being trauma informed and equity based. The BHRC is a project of Multnomah County in collaboration with many community partners. The BHRC includes a Peer Run Day Center, 33 bed shelter with stays up to 30 days and a 19-bed bridge to housing program with stays up to 90 days for people experiencing houselessness and behavioral health challenges. About this role: The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a very important role in the organization by providing excellent resident services in addition to performing various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. What you’ll do: Includes but not limited to: • Perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager., • Perform appliance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, custodial, and carpentry work as necessary., • Ensure exterior curb appeal of community and cleanliness of grounds., • Assist in daily recreation room, rental office, restrooms, and common area upkeep., • Maintain high standards of resident service and relations for entire staff., • Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe, well-maintained community., • Ensure that apartments are rent ready within 3 to 5 days after they have been vacated., • Maintain accurate inventory control of tools, equipment and supplies. Team members are required to use all personal protective equipment as assigned and instructed, specifically back belts, goggles, dust mask, hard hats and gloves., • Team members are required to carry back belts, goggles and gloves in their possession at all times during work hours. Dust masks and hard hats must be readily available., • Ensure that maintenance requests are handled as quickly, efficiently and effectively as possible and always completed within 24 hours. If parts must be ordered, causing a delay, so notify Community Manager and inform residents., • Adherence to company monthly preventive maintenance directives, with regard to but not limited to; lighting, fire safety, pool/spa, life/safety hazards, and signage check under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager., • Have knowledge of location of gas, electric, irrigation, and water shutoffs, all apartment and fixture shutoffs, and sewer cleanouts and familiarity with posted map., • Assist in performing apartment move-in and move-out inspections as directed by Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager., • Know current condition/status of all vacant units., • Recommends measures to improve methods of operations, performance, safety and quality of service., • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew., • Performs on-call emergency service as required., • Assists the Maintenance Director/Supervisor or Property Manager on special maintenance projects, i.e., preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals., • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations., • Adheres to CloudTen’s Injury and Illness Prevention Policy and Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Policy.
