Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Description This role supports a large-scale distribution and import/export warehouse operation in Miramar, FL that services retail fashion and consumer goods. As a Warehouse Associate, you handle core logistics activities such as shipping, receiving, returns processing, inventory management, and warehouse distribution. You work in a fast-paced environment to ensure merchandise moves efficiently and accurately through the facility. Responsibilities • Pick and pack customer and store orders accurately and efficiently., • Sort and organize apparel and other merchandise to maintain orderly stock areas., • Move boxes, cartons, and materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques., • Load and unload shipments from trucks or staging areas, ensuring items are handled carefully., • Assist with inventory control by counting, labeling, and organizing stock as directed., • Support warehouse shipping operations, including preparing packages and working on the packaging line., • Use RF scanners and related equipment to locate, pick, and track inventory., • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling tools in a safe and controlled manner., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by following housekeeping and safety guidelines., • Meet established productivity, quality, and accuracy standards in a fast-paced environment., • Experience with order picking and packing in a warehouse or similar environment., • Proficiency in packing orders and working on packaging lines., • Hands-on experience with material handling, including moving boxes and pallets., • Ability to use RF scanners for picking, inventory tracking, and order selection., • Experience operating pallet jacks safely within a warehouse setting., • Knowledge of shipping processes and warehouse shipping workflows., • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy while working quickly., • Capability to stand for long periods during the shift., • Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending, folding, and carrying., • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds safely and repeatedly., • Previous experience in warehouse inventory management or stock organization., • Experience with returns processing or reverse logistics in a distribution setting., • Familiarity with general labor tasks in a warehouse, including sorting and organizing merchandise., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures., • Strong reliability and punctuality, with a focus on meeting productivity goals. The facility operates on a first shift schedule, typically from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., providing a full workday on a consistent basis. The role involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive motions such as bending and folding, and lifting boxes weighing at least 10 pounds. You regularly use warehouse technologies and equipment, including RF scanners, pallet jacks, and standard material handling tools. The workspace emphasizes cleanliness and safety, with clear procedures to maintain an organized and hazard-free environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miramar, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
