LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Nursery for a travel nursing job in Castro Valley, California. • Specialty: Nursery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/29/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel 2994078 Experienced Nursery RN needed for Level I and Level II Special Care Nursery. Responsibilities include newborn stabilization, routine and specialized care for neonates ≥34 weeks, management of hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, drug withdrawal, respiratory distress, and sepsis evaluations. Role includes CPAP, nasal cannula, UVC/UAC lines, phototherapy, gavage feeding, and preparation for transfer to higher-level care. Nurse will float to Mother/Baby unit as needed and follow patient ratios of 1:3. EPIC charting required. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive newborn care including assessments, thermoregulation, and feeding support, • Administer medications including antibiotics, anticonvulsants, Pitocin, and magnesium sulfate, • Perform phototherapy, IV therapy, and blood transfusions as indicated, • Manage respiratory support including CPAP and infant ventilation, • Educate parents on newborn care, circumcision care, and discharge instructions, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services, • Float to Mother/Baby couplet care as neededAx Eligibility & Requirements Requirement Details Certifications (Required) BLS, NRP State License California – Active, Required at submission Experience 2+ years nursery or NICU Level II experience preferred; postpartum experience also preferred Charting System EPIC – Required Travel Experience Preferred but not mandatory Patient Ratio 1:3 Weekend Requirement Every other weekend (7 weekends in 13 weeks) Floating Yes – Mother/Baby Computer Skills Proficient in EPIC and computerized documentation Other Mandatory Skills Newborn stabilization, IV therapy, CPAP, UVC/UAC line management, gavage feeding, phototherapy Vaccine (COVID-19) Unknown Flu Vaccine Unknown First-Time Travelers Accepted if meeting experience requirements RTO Only one holiday approved Orientation Policy Modules included within orientation; additional hours billable if exceeding 16 NBO hours #HCRR Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
