American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Bemidji, Minnesota. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/27/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, rotating, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Rotating, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 27, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • 13-week contract at an acute care hospital OB/L&D unit, • Trauma Level 3 facility, • Cares for postpartum, stable antepartum, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow patients, and may serve as 2nd RN in the Special Care Nursery (SCN), • Average census includes approximately 5 mom/baby couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 laboring patients, and 4 SCN patients, • Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN Standards: 1:3 mom/baby couplets, 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg, 1:3-4 pediatrics, • Support staff includes a ward clerk (0700–1900), CNA (Tuesday–Thursday), Charge Nurse/Circulator, Resource Nurse, and LPN Scrub Nurse — all without patient assignments, • Equipment includes EPIC OneChart, Omnicell, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medela Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call Light System, and Medfusion Pumps, • Epic EMR — candidates without Epic experience should be prepared to provide details on alternate EMR systems used, • 12-hour day/night rotating shifts, • Every 3rd weekend required, • Rotating holiday coverage required, • Floating required to Med-Surg and Telemetry as needed; may be required to take a Med-Surg patient when the unit absorbs overflowRequirements, • Active MN RN license required, • Minimum 2 years of OB/L&D experience required, including postpartum, • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP, • PALS certification preferred, • Ability to work in both Labor and Postpartum settings required, • Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years, • All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted, • Active RN license must be verified at time of considerationAdditional Information, • Provides care across postpartum, antepartum, labor, newborn, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow patient populations, • Ability to circulate in L&D is a plus, • Equipment and unit orientation provided on the first day (approximately 8 hours), • Scrub color: Navy Blue, • Badging in and out at the facility is required, • Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose prior employment; a gap of at least 6 months from the end date of prior Sanford employment is required for consideration With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
