Job Description Job Title: Production Operator Job Description This entry-level position involves learning and performing duties specific to a designated department, such as bending, cutoff, or production machine operations. Responsibilities • Learn how to operate various types of equipment and make minor adjustments during production runs to ensure quality parts., • Read setup sheets and routing packages for individual parts, • Conduct quality inspections, • Move parts to subsequent operations, track scrap or rework, and document reasons., • Participate in corrective action processes to prevent defects, • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude., • Proficiency in math, including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions., • Ability to read and follow specific routing and setup instructions., • Ability to read blueprints, which can be taught., • Proficiency in using measuring instruments, • 1st shift: 5:00am - 3:30pm, • Working heavy OT right now. Expect 50+ hours a week including weekends. We offer onsite training and certifications, with opportunities for advancement as the business expands. Work Environment Work in a large, clean, and organized production environment spanning 256,000 square feet. Safety is prioritized. Shifts available are 1st (5:00am - 3:30pm) and 2nd (3:30pm - 2:00am), with the 2nd shift receiving a pay differential and initial training on the 1st shift for two months. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.90/hr.
