Job Description Branch Manager, Stone and Slab Showroom (Houston, TX) Bronwick Recruiting is partnering with a leading stone and surface distributor to hire a Branch Manager to launch and grow a new Houston location. This is a hands-on, sales-forward leadership role for someone who wants to build a branch from the ground up, develop a team, and own results. This location is being built as a high-end showroom and design-focused customer experience, not a traditional warehouse-only operation. The right person will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves early, establishing structure, and driving revenue while the location ramps up. What you will do: • Launch and lead the Houston branch from startup through full operation, • Drive sales performance through direct customer development and relationship management, • Build and grow a book of business with architects, designers, builders, remodelers, and fabricators, • Recruit, hire, train, and coach a high-performing team, including sales and warehouse support, • Set expectations, build accountability, and create a culture built on service, responsiveness, and follow-through, • Oversee daily operations including showroom flow, inventory coordination, order accuracy, delivery execution, and customer experience, • Partner with internal support teams to ensure smooth quoting, follow-up, and issue resolution, • Establish local routines and processes that support growth and consistency, • Coordinate early-stage branch needs while the location is being completed and prepared to open What success looks like: • You build momentum quickly by activating relationships and opening doors before the showroom officially launches, • You develop a local team that can support both the sales process and the operational side of the branch, • You grow revenue steadily and build a repeat customer base through strong service and consistent follow-up, • You run the branch like an owner, balancing sales, people leadership, and operations without needing heavy oversight What we are looking for: • Experience launching a branch, opening a new location, or turning around an underperforming operation, • Strong outside sales background with proven year-over-year growth, • Leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and holding a team accountable, • Comfort operating as a working manager, not a sit-back operator, • Ability to manage both the front end of sales and the back end of branch operations, • Existing relationships in the stone, tile, surfacing, design, or building materials space are a plus, • High initiative and strong follow-through, especially in an early-stage environment with limited structure Compensation: • Base salary target: $90,000 to $100,000 + Commission, • Commission plan included, with meaningful upside as the branch scales, • Total earnings potential will grow significantly as the location builds a pipeline, this is a ground-up opportunity Additional details: • This is a Houston-based role with no ongoing travel requirement, • Training and onboarding support may include short optional visits to established locations to learn the model and systems, • The branch is targeting an opening timeline in the spring, with hiring planned in advance so you can build pipeline early About Bronwick Recruiting: Bronwick Recruiting specializes in the stone and surfacing industry.
