Job Description The Department of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is recruiting a board-certified dermatologist to serve as Director of Hospital-based Dermatology. The Department of Dermatology at Brown is the largest academic and non-profit faculty group providing comprehensive dermatologic care in the State of Rhode Island extending to Southern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut. The dermatology clinical service spans two health systems/seven hospitals (Lifespan and Care New England) and the Providence VA. The Youth Leadership Academy The 2026 Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) will bring together approximately 50 young people, aged 13-18, from around the US to train and support them to lead, advocate and organize peers to create change in their communities. It begins with a residential Academy in Washington D.C. in late July - including training, dialogues, guest speakers, and field trips - followed by regular virtual coaching and mentoring meetings and workshops throughout the following academic year. General Responsibilities: • Reviews plans, approves or disapproves permit applications, conducts field inspections, and makes reports related to construction projects in the City., • Interprets and explains application of codes or provisions of plumbing code to contractors and property owners., • Inspects plumbing installations found in building construction for conformity with required codes, regulations, ordinances, standards, and laws., • Ensures that work is being performed by personnel with appropriate licenses., • Investigates complaints related to violations of plumbing., • Issues verbal or written orders for correction of defects, workmanship and materials., • Prepares reports of all inspections performed, covering conditions discovered, action taken and recommendations for future action., • Performs related work as required.
