This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Details: Job Name: Medical Technician Location: Everett, WA 98201 Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension) Pay rate: $40 to 45/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience /educational qualifications) Schedule: 8 hrs. day / Mon – Fri (5 days/ wk.) Job Responsibilities: • Perform laboratory tests and procedures in an accurate and timely manner to support patient care., • Evaluate laboratory results carefully and address discrepancies or irregular findings promptly., • Maintain laboratory equipment, including proper calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure reliability of results., • Demonstrate strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, testing methodologies, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare providers., • Monitor laboratory inventory and report low supply levels to ensure uninterrupted testing operations., • Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs, including proficiency testing and instrument validation., • Maintain specimen integrity throughout the testing process to ensure accuracy and reliability of results., • Accurately document laboratory procedures, test results, and reagent usage in accordance with laboratory standards., • Utilize the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to record, track, and manage laboratory workflow efficiently., • Ensure proper documentation, storage, and control of laboratory reagents and materials., • Provide training and guidance to new laboratory staff or students on laboratory procedures and equipment use., • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe laboratory environment in compliance with safety regulations., • Communicate critical information during shift changes to ensure continuity of laboratory operations., • Utilize communication technologies such as email, messaging platforms, and timekeeping systems effectively., • Assist laboratory leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating new laboratory techniques and procedures. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology., • Current Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT)/ Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)., • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist/ Medical Laboratory Scientist is preferred.
