Job Description COPC is the largest physician-owned Primary Care Group in the US. We are looking for a knowledgeable, licensed Endocrinologist to provide care to patients at COPC - Columbus Endocrinology at 4895 Olentangy River Road, Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43214. The thriving practice has 5 Physicians, 5 APPs, Medical Assistants, and LPNs to support the outpatient practice. An incoming Endocrinologist will acquire some established COPC patients. Office Hours: M-Thurs., 8-4:30, FRI., 8-3:30 pm. About the area: This practice is about 10 miles from downtown Columbus and a 10-20-minute drive from neighboring towns. Columbus can be compared to a small yet big city. Higher education is strong in Columbus, with our university ranked in the top 25. The arts community offers numerous festivals and events, galleries, and cool exhibits. There are over 500 parks in Columbus. Ongoing entertainment venues and many popular sports teams, including well-known football, hockey, and soccer teams. can be found here. Golf is a favorite pastime in Columbus, with several golf courses in the town. There are dozens of courses in neighboring communities. If you like to shop, Columbus offers endless retail, and there is a great variety of restaurants. It's a foodie town. The business sector is growing with giants like Google, Amazon, and Intel here or moving here. Overall, it is a great place to live, work, and play. Duties and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hormone disorders and other problems relating to the endocrine system. Evaluate patient symptoms and medical histories, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans. Support patients with physical limitations due to endocrine conditions. Analyze, examine, and investigate patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances. Advise, order, and perform tests and interpret the results. Discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and give advice on medications, lifestyle, dietary changes, and other preventative measures. Carry out follow-up appointments, monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans and medications, and update patient records. COPC uses EPIC EHR. Conduct research and studies on the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions to develop new treatment techniques. Remain up to date on current discoveries, developments, trends, research, and technology. Opportunity to perform thyroid ultrasound/thyroid nodule biopsies. Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO), completion of a three-year Internal Medicine residency, Fellowship completion, and Board certification in Internal Medicine Endocrinology within two years of joining the COPC. A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions. Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses. Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and research skills. Proficiency with computers and medical equipment. The ability to speak more than one language would be advantageous. Benefits: Competitive compensation range of $250-300K, depending on the number of days worked and the size of your patient panel.
