Detailed job description below: Sales Productivity • Greet customer promptly, • Contribute your share of store sales, • Demonstrate proficiency in all steps of the selling process, • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and excellence in selling product lines and designers, • Consistently follow up with all customers for price requests and write thank you cards, • Maintain communication with customers for retention, • Write legibly, • Demonstrate ability to take in repairs correctly, • Demonstrate knowledge regarding correct pricing of repairs, • Demonstrate proficiency with basic repair procedures such as finger sizing, • Follow up with repair customers on a timely basis, • Provide a clear, constant focus on customer's needs, • Exhibit ability to handle special orders, including pricing appropriately and ensuring adequate details, • Demonstrate proficiency with all systems including the computer, Point of Sale system, and telephone/fax, • Demonstrate knowledge of store policies and warranties including returns, service plans, and credit programs, • Exhibit awareness of floor coverage responsibilities, and communicate to ensure that sales floor is adequately covered, • Demonstrate knowledge of client development systems, and ensure proper completion of customer information., • Demonstrate commitment to client development system to gather information, and then to properly utilize that information in an appropriate timely manner, • Demonstrate knowledge, including treatment and care, of appropriate gemstones, • Is empathetic and courteous when handling customer complaints, • Maintain gross profit levels as instructed by management, • Achieve minimum sales goals based on hourly pay, • Contribute to setting up of merchandise in the morning and pulling of merchandise at closing, • Ensure all cases and windows are clean and orderly, • Make effective display changes when needed, • Clearly identify holes in the inventory and plug as necessary, • Communicate current inventory levels and customer requests for specific pieces to management, • Maintain displays to maximize sales and add on opportunities, • Keep counters neat and orderly. Pick up after yourself, • Sell from back stock or replace immediately, • Demonstrate awareness of current web offerings and promotions, • Maintain awareness of environment at all times, • Ensure showcases are locked, • Demonstrate proficiency with policies regarding showing of merchandise including maximum number of pieces allowable at one time, • Maintain possession of keys at all times while in the store, • Understand and demonstrate use of the store security code, • Smiling, answer the phone properly and promptly, • Follow store policies regarding personal phone and Internet usage, • Understand, and be able to discuss the relationship between store image/brand identity and all communications (including communication with vendors, peers, and customers), • Properly handle and/or channel customer complaints and requests, • Follow company dress code, • Maintain a positive attitude, • Adhere to company policies on attendance, including awareness of and following the schedule, • Maintain a positive professional working environment, • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills to communicate, including telephone skills, written correspondence and email messages, • Maintain an accurate time card, • Prompt and regular in attendance, • Follow employee discount policy and procedure, • Commitment to educational development, • Take responsibility for continued awareness of the industry, fashion, and trends through consistent review of trade publications, newsletters, and Internet, • Understand the competition by frequently shopping their locations and reviewing their advertising and Internet sites, • Demonstrate willingness to learn new ideas, concepts and products, • Attend all store training sessions as mandated, both during and outside of regular store hours
