Job Description Job Title: Medical Assistant Position Type: Contract (W2) Pay Range: $20–$23/hour (W2) Location: Cincinnati, OH 45227 Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:45 AM – 4:00 PM On-Call: No Equipment/Systems: Epic EMR, Microsoft Office, Clinical Diagnostic Equipment Required Education & Certifications (Mandatory) • High School Diploma or GED (REQUIRED), • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program (REQUIRED), • BLS Certification (REQUIRED) Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory) • Experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical support role (REQUIRED), • Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred) (REQUIRED), • Ability to perform patient rooming, vital signs, and medical history documentation (REQUIRED), • Strong knowledge of clinical workflow and patient flow management (REQUIRED), • Experience with basic clinical procedures (EKG, phlebotomy, injections, wound care) (REQUIRED), • Ability to assist in clinical/surgical procedures including handling sterile environments (REQUIRED), • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, scheduling systems) (REQUIRED), • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and clinical staff (REQUIRED), • Knowledge of OSHA standards, bloodborne pathogen safety, and sharps handling (REQUIRED), • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced clinical environment (REQUIRED) Preferred Skills • 2–5 years of Medical Assistant experience, • Experience in primary care, specialty clinics, or procedural settings, • Experience with Epic Super User responsibilities, • Additional clinical skills: EKG, phlebotomy, suture removal, splinting, wound care, • Experience supporting procedures such as Mohs surgery or minor surgical assistance, • Associate Degree (Preferred), • CMA/RMA Certification (Preferred) Job Description / Responsibilities • Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments, • Maintain patient flow and rooming process throughout clinic hours, • Document vitals, medical history, medications, and review of systems in EMR, • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and instruments, • Support clinical procedures including EKGs, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and wound care, • Assist with medication refills, prior authorizations, and pharmacy coordination, • Manage patient charts, records, scanning, and EMR updates (Epic), • Handle incoming calls, scheduling, check-in/out, and patient follow-ups, • Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards, • Assist in surgical procedures and ensure sterile field compliance when required Pride Global Benefits Pride Global offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance, and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
